yeah, white is THE color for Japanese cars but that photoshop pic looks pretty sexy! :). Still, I think the gangsta VIP-ness the Cressida exudes suits white or black better.

Yeah, I pretty much decided on championship white for this thing (stock honda color) it's kind of a cream/off-white color. Should look sex on this thing :D.

Well, I sold this thing twice since my last post and it keeps coming back. I can't seem to get rid of it, so I am taking it as a sign.

The car is back in my posession minus the wheels. I may not do anything on it for a while, but I decided to keep it, atlease until it's a reliable runner and looks a bit more presentable, I might sell it again at that point, but I'm going to hold onto it for a little longer :D.

Glad to hear it. 8)

Did you see the pics of the tan one at JCCS? Needed fender mirrors, but still was sexy...

I know this guy is a member now, so at the risk of offending it's owner, I prefer my nostalgics with smaller diameter wheels. But otherwise very clean, and just about the same color I was planning for this :D. I really am glad to have it back, every time I sold it, I wished I hadn't, so it's good to have her home again :D

Kind of.

The first time I got rid of it, I traded it for a mazda pickup that ended up being a huge pain. Blew the headgasket on the way home from picking it up, both front cv's are about to fall apart, and both front wheel bearings are shot. Also, the left rear leaf spring snapped when we were loading it on the trailer. So I called the guy up and told him I was upset about what had happened. He agreed to let me have the car back, and keep the truck (score) if he could keep the boyd's that were on it. That was the first time I got it back.

The second time I got rid of it, I sold it to a friend who had been bugging me about it since I first bought it. I was letting him make payments. He made one payment, and then realised he didnt have time or space for the project, and gave it back to me.

I'm glad to have it back, but once my wife sees that I've hidden it out of sight, she's going to get pissed (this brings the count up to 4 vehicles, plus her car, lol)

i also have 4 and i hear it from the wife all the time, wait i have 5! that was very cool of the guy to give your car back. A deal is deal down here! once it leaves the driveway it's yours! at least from my experience.

Well he's kind of a friend, I know him through a few other friends, so I dont think he was out to screw me over. It was very nice of him though :D.

ok, honest opinions. I'm thinking of doing this car a little different then my other builds (and every other boso/shakotan x32 build).

What do you guys think of these for this car, painted solid red with chrome moons (no beauty rings) and 2" whitewalls. The car is going to be slammed, and I'm toying with the idea of leaving the body all beat up.
(14x7 +6, and 185-60-14 tires)

Allied wheel makes them for about $35 a pop, the caps are $15 a piece and come like pictured, or as smoothie moon caps. I work at a wheels shop, so mine are even cheaper :D.

Do it! I had a similar idea for my Dad's '80 Toyota truck, but with stock caps and beauty rings.

I dont know, I'm still thinking about it. In the mean time, I got ahold of some free 215 60 14 white letter tires, and I painted my 14" 5spokes metallic army green, lol, so I'll post pics with them on the car this weekend :D. It's not permanent, so laughing is permitted :D. Tires are wayway bigger then I feel comfortable running (even my snow tires are stretched :D), so I'll be switching to 185 60 14 as soon as income permits it :P.

will look very stockish with those. For a more classy and vip-ish look I'd go for brit-style wire spoke wheels, such as

not at all a dayton fan :(. I was thinking more a ratty look then classy, lol. I'm leaning more towards axis banzai's at the moment (hayashi ripoff), we'll see. It depends on what my wife is going to let me get away with I suppose, lol.

FYI, here in America wires don't scream "classy" on a Japanese car. More like "ghetto"...
