Hello,my name is Bong, as I'm called by family and friends). I'm a regular member at other toyota forums site as well, mainly celica, but I have since sold my'74 ra21 gt. recently.

anyway, after I sold my ra21, stumbled upon this rt105 on the side road for sale. Can't help myself so i bought it. It needs a lot of work like new paint, interior, suspension and a rebuilt carb(won't pass smog currently) has since rebuilt it my self now she idles smoothly.
don't really know why I got it but???

Here's she is before buying:

After I got the car home: replaced wheels with these autobahns.

Latley been testing things I've picked up from j/d's(sideskirts)

i'm worrking on the suspension for now. dropped the car with a 2" lowering block and currently finishing the whole fronts(replacing all ball joints, tierods, swaybar bushings struts etc. she bounces like a basketball
:D

I will post pics of things I've done and interchangeable parts found for my rt.

Rims are 14x6 with 2" wide lip by autobhans. here's my 72 project. Just ordered the chin spoiler and will be here soon. doing two projects at once was not a good idea. Thanks.

What do you guys think of this spoiler? It's from an bmw 325i(e30?) it's a tad little short on both ends by 1/4".

Not my taste, but it "fits" well. Looks almost OEM-ish. :tu:

I'm with datsunfreak. It's not really my taste. But to be honest, I don't much care for any extra bodywork. No spoilers, wings, louvers or side skirts. Leave all the dents and creases in it. Lower it, put some nice wheels and tires on it, do the mechanical work and call it good. But that's just me.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks. these parts i've been collecting over the years from j/y trips. Actually the spoiler was for a 80 te72 4 dr I had which my nephew owns now. we settled with a more suttle piece of rear spoiler.
I did finish lowering but I may have ir repainted to it's original silver metalic color as they and mabe call it done. mechanically I'm leaving ir stock as this will be my daily driver and it's an automatic anyway:(

I'm gonna do all the hardcore on my project ra21. 18rg with cams and all.

Yes! pass the smog this morning. Now she's legit!

Btw, also got my 18r block donor for my 18rg build! Started taking her apart. I notice that the 18r heads have double springs. i wonder if this owuld work on my 230 rg head???

This used to be my old engine from my recently sold '74 celica.

Thanks, but maybe later. Mechanicllly she a sound driver now. A/c need to be check and recharge is next in line. She still needs a lot of thing like missing interior peices now. All the seats front and back as well as side door panels needs to be redone. going to paint her back the original silver mettallic color. After all this, she will be a whole new car again.

I wonder if you could still get weather strips for this car like the windshield door and trunk? Gotta check toyota if they still have them.. :D

anyway, here's a pic after lowering:

Well, the seat are going to the upholstery shop to be redone in black vinyl and fabric so i decided to put this trd bucket seat I've been saving for my celica temporarily on the car. Had to fab some brackets and shim the kell out of it to level the seat properly. I used the rail form the bench seat and had to get get another rail from one of those china matrix seats.

Watched a drift practice early this afternoon :D Got home and an idea came to mind. What if I try the roll cage from my ra21 project? It was oversize and need to be shortened. Took it and put it on.:

Fits perfect on the side with good clearance between door and bar. Top has 4" difference(low) so it need to be raised up by 2"? side support need tob e bent a little in wards.(toe out)That's if I decide to go this route

looks great but will gonna have to do a lot of conversions from auto to manual and find a good engine, harness etc....

nah! Keep it simple
