What is an anime that has lots of blood and gore but no or little nudity?

You're not going to find a lot of shows that are heavy on gore but not nudity. Why you're fine with violence but not nudity is a question I'll leave unasked. You might try Elfen Lied. While there is a bit of nudity at the beginning, the unrelenting violence overshadows it. You might also want to try She, The Ultimate Weapon (also known by it's Japanese name, Saikano.) Not quite as violent as Elfen Lied, but there's no nudity.

Ah, figures. Ironically, desite being such a big fan of Fujishima's work, I've never seen any of the YUA anime. I've only read the manga (and I have the complete series in Japanese since only a part of it was ever released in English).

Odd question, but what is Elfen Lied about? You've kind of answered another long standing question for me, there's a dude in Michigan who drifts an '81 Malibu 4-door (and pretty well, may I add) with the license plate "ELFNLED". Does the show have anything to do with huge Chevrolets going sideways?

Bastard doesnt have too much nudity, but the nudity it does have is almost as graphic as the violence, lol. Most anime's that feature graphic violence are going to have graphic nudity too :P.

Sorry, no. It's about a young woman who is part of an evolutionary branch of humanity with the ability to use "hands" that aren't really there. She can reach out with those hands well beyond her body and use them to kill. The few people who have this ability don't generally have the same concept of right or wrong as we do, so they can be very cruel. The main character Lucy has escaped from a government institution that was housing her, but suffered a head injury in the escape. Now she has a split personality. As Lucy, she's a cold, remorseless killer. As Nyu, she's a child-like girl completely dependent on the family that has adopted her.

Here are a few from Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (Abenobashi Mahoushotengai).

Image
I don't know what this is, but the episode takes place in 1957.

Image
Image
Toyopet Crown. I had to take two screencaps since it's a little too large for the frame.

Image
I'm not sure what this is. It's from the ending credits which is a montage of black and white snapshots of Osaka from the 1950s and 1960s.

Image
Again from the ending credits. It's a Daihatsu 3-wheel truck just like in the Crayon Shin-chan movie that's posted in the blog. There are a few other similarities between Abenobashi and that Shin-chan movie. Both feature nostalgia as a central theme, and both have the same ending theme song. In the Shin-chan movie, it's called "Genki de Ite ne" and it's sung by Sachiko Kobayashi. It's based on the song "Anata no Kokoro ni" by Chinatsu Nakayama from 1970. I happen to have the original song on CD. That song was covered by Megumi Hayashibara for Abenobashi. The Shin-chan version has different lyrics but the same melody. No, this isn't an answer for the blog contest. I'm still working on that.

Wow, that looks mean. 8)

And thanks for the Elfen Lied clarification. I still don't know why it's his license plate. Sounds interesting though.

A Subaru 360 is fitted with a Porsche engine and disguised as a VW Beetle...

Earlier the episode features such classics as the "Henda" and "Tomota"

Okay, so it's not anime. It's by ero-doujinshi artist Yosino and I figured folks might enjoy it.

...Abenobashi is actually an awesome show, especially toward the end.

I mistook it for a sort of "FLCL lite" at first, but my favorite bits of it are the wistful, nostalgic feeling, including the ep. set immediately post-war.

Can't remember if I've seen it mentioned before, but I stumbled across something called "Circuit Wolf" or "The Legend of Circuit's Wolf" that seems to be about racing with mostly older exotics, but includes a Z432.

There's a 2000GT in it too, but not sure why it's not in that toy list.
