I never say this, and I'm annoyed by people who do, but...

They ruined that car...

That's not the original engine. The came with either a 633cc or 767cc engine, both water-cooled. The radiator was mounted in the back. A lot of people mount larger radiators in the front for better cooling, especially if they modify or swap in a bigger engine. It's not pretty, but it's there for a reason.

I have a 1957 Fiat 500 that was powered with an electric motor when I bought it. Now it is Subaru powered! STI block, DOHC heads t3/t4 turbo 550cc injectors, Stinger engine management. Should have about 330hp in a 900lb car. Pics to follow.

Bought the STI short block from Flatirons Subaru and most of the performance parts from Outfront Motorsports. The heads came from another motor I had. I built the motor but will have Harvey at Superrupair do the final tune and dyno. Still about 2 months away from the first test drive. I just finished the wheelie bar mounts last week and now it's back to the cooling system. Here are a couple of subarus that I used to own. I fabricated 4 wheel disc brakes for the van and started to repower it with a Kawasaki 600 motor ( Subasaki) but lost interest in it and sold it.
