Well shit fellas...

I own Toyotas... lots of old Toyotas... I also own a 400HP S13, but who really gives a shit about that.


Well.. this is the new daily driver that I have been building. It consists of a 1JZ, MX73 IRS with crossmember/frame grafted to the existing frame. V-notched the frame, etc etc... R-154 tranny, full custom air ride with 2500 series bags up front and 2800's in the back. Lays frame, floorboard and pinch weld.

It is currently running 1 bar of boost, so.... cheeea! From wiring it headlight to taillight, making the JDM round gauges work, and finishing every other aspect of the car, I would say this is yet another Old Series GARAGE successful build.

Also, I took the 14X7 mesh off and put my 15X7's on... damn, believe it or not, it actually took some inner fender work in the back (im talking about the very top, because my car lays out frame and floor board, therefore the overall radius of the tire affects my limit of "tuck").

I want to go even lower, but I would have to tub the back of the car to do that .

Unfortunately, these Crowns are scarce in Europe. I found one for sale in Germany not long ago, but I couldn't afford it. Dang...

By the way, have you got any detailed rear suspensions pics? I'd love to see how exactly you cut up the existing frame to use the MX73 IRS... Did you consider any other IRS, like the Jag setup?

A friend posted pictures of your wagon on another forum I'm on awhile back, and he got them off a Celica/Supra forum. So it seems to travel around.

That wagon= sex. I love everything about it. And I am suitably jealous.

It's hard to see in that sunset picture- what is the other wagon?

p.s: My wagon is in no way affiliated with a Corona. From late 72 to mid 76 (many many changes in between) Toyota used the name "Corona" and put emblems next to the MarkII emblem to make the model "MarkII" known (it was BRAND NEW at the time, its the first generation x-chassis).

Basically, the chassis desegnation is MX29, just as a Crestas, MarkII, Cressidas, and Chasers. They are all X code chassis.

Coronas are T- chassis... so thats a whole another animal.

I think I share the same disease. I have a thing for station wagons with ridiculous amounts of hp too. The reactions you get driving it around must be priceless.
