My friend's 1978 Arrow GT

Thought all you Arrow/Celeste fans would enjoy seeing photos of my good friend's black, 2000, 5-speed, 1978 Arrow GT. She, (yes, she), is the original owner. Without question, one of the finest Arrows in the US.

As incredible as the pictures are, they don't do the car justice. It has to be seen to be believed. Simply gorgeous! It gives every Arrow/Celeste owner something to aspire to.

Good lord. That car is incredible! All the little details, the black and gold motif carried into the engine bay and on the turn signals, the spotless interior, the lack of dashcap, the raised whiter letter tires, color keyed road wheels, perfect condition stripes, the Arrow banner and Me and My Arrow sticker on the windshield (where can I find one of these?!), the normally-easy-to-break plastic bits are all pristine.... I don't care much for the swoopy spoiler and the avoid-speed-bumps body kit on the rocker panels, but everything else on this car is just amazing.

This Arrow is a real work of art. Joyce is definitely someone that all of us Arrowheads should look up to.

Mike, that header on her car, is that for the Arrow car or truck? I remember reading a while back that Joyce was the one that found out that the truck headers fit into the cars' engine bay, and I was wondering whether she actually kept it on the car.

Yeah... That car always upstages mine and I've gotten used to it and just roll with it. I love her GT too. It's just bad-to-the-bone and it is lovingly pampered.

I would have to agree, (having seen the car in person several times), that photos - even on my camera - do it no justice. The paint looks like it's about three feet deep -- without any flaws either.

The "Me and My Arrow" logo on Joyce's windshield is painted on. It's not a sticker.

She's not the only one who doesn't use/need a plastic dash cap. :tu:

The header on Joyce's GT was one of the originals, from back in the day, that was for a car. However, the truck header does work on the car. If you dig back about three years ago into the Arrowgroup's posts, you'll see that it was "mycarzabeater" who actually took the plunge and tried the truck header first and posted about it.

I run one on the FA and it works well.

No, they're both aftermarket pieces.
