Nice DR, non-intercooled tekamen are a rare breed! welcome to the 'club'
I've just started doing more work to my coupe, mainly to restore it to the point where I wouldn't be too embarrassed to enter it in the odd show or two. My badge kit arrived direct from Japan at the start of this week - see
here for the writeup - and once I'm done with that it'll be time to replace all the accessory belts and get my Watanabes painted and polished for fitting to the car. (they were going to go on the sedan, but I changed my mind)
funny you should mention fuel pump issues - my sedan had a faulty standard fuel pump that I ended up replacing with a Bosch 910 (an OEM Mercedes one apparently), and my coupe developed a fault with the fuel pump controller at the beginning of this year which I've only just managed to fix (by swapping it with the one out of the sedan, natch).
If you are seriously looking at buying DR30 spares and/or replacement bits, the best place to go is Yahoo Auctions Japan. I've managed to find pretty much everything I need on there. Trouble is, you're often bidding against other DR30 enthusiasts with more money than sense...
you may also want to stockpile yourself a couple of spare CAS units, those are notoriously bad for breaking down on DR30s.
I used to have a set of really,
really low DR30 springs. there was no rebound to speak of, comfort was lacking and road-holding ability was horrible, but damn the car looked good on 'em. They were already fitted when I got the coupe in from Japan, so I knew nothing about them apart from the fact they were metallic pink, which may signify a brand of some sort? Have never seen a set like them since, neither here nor there, I'm almost regretful of selling them actually.
