Thats a very Aussie shirt Bruce is wearing, featuring the extinct Tassie Tiger.

Very, very cool. 8) :tu:

Someone approached me a few years ago to use my '70 300 in an a indie film. But they weren't paying anything, wouldn't let me drive it, had no insurance, and they wanted to "drive it fast" on winding dirt roads.

I thought about it for awhile, honestly, but had to turn it down. Oh well.

FYI, IMDb is now showing October 1st, 2009 as the release date for Australia.

The rest of the world waits in suspense...

I have had the sound of my Sunny recorded for a New Zealand movie,

Cant say the name of the movie yet because its in post production but it is a famous NZ kids book and was a TV show.

Thats all I can claim to fame. In the movie the main character drives a B210 Sunny even though the sound will be from my B310.

Heaps of driving, starts , stops and a couple of skids. It was real fun although I would love to be part of the filming!!!

AWESOME!!! Gonna keep my eye out for this movie (just for the car 2!)

Here are some pics including sound engineer Matt and his fancy gears.

One mic was in the engine bay, one near the exhaust as well as some inside and the boom mics.

Sweet recording setup.

I once had my stereo stolen in the early 80s and just put a boom box in the back seat.

Apparently it had both left and right mics in it and I accidently leaned back and hit record instead of play and forgot about it as I tore through some roads.

Amazing recording and you could hear the engine race and then tires squeel when crashing back down after cresting a hill an my passenger saying "ok...ok...ok......"

I doubt I still have it but it was gold......and the boom box made an amazing recording.

Sounds like awesome fun.
I have a similar story, but not with a JNC. I purchased 2 Split window VW Kombis for a wedding business I started in my home state. The day after my first bus arrived, i had it parked outside the registration office, where I was transferring the rego to Tasmanian plates. When I came out, there was a lady placing a card under my wiper.

To cut a long story short, i was contracted to drive my bus around the state for filming advertising & promotional material for an Arts Festival, Called "Ten Days on the Island". Thenm there was the publicity appearences, as my bus was the main focus point of the campaign....Travelling around the state to see these art displays/performances etc.

I spent over a month being paid great dollars to drive my bus & get it on film. They made a 5 minute DVD for promotional purposes & bus was featured hevily in advertising campaigns. One of the festivals major sponsors is a storage / removalist firm. One the side of one of his trucks, there is a full size picture of me sitting in my bus looking out of the Safari windows. Pretty freaky really.

Great times & awesome exposure for a business that was brand new.

Bruce Beresford is a real director. The fact that your car gets to be in one of him films is pretty freakin' cool.

Yeap. Thats a typical movie set. It's worse than the Military.....Hurry up and wait.

The great thing is that if you are union....you get paid, ALOT to be standing around, least Stunt People do, not too sure about the rest of em.

That's awesome that they wanted a 4 door 510. Smooth stuff man.
