It rained today. But that didnt stop people to come and drop by.
140 in attendance!!! Guys from Rizal Automotive Federation, Pampanga Old Schoolers, Classic Car Club, and most of all Old Schoolers Auto Club came. Lots of friends and guest arrived as far from Bulacan , Cavite , Laguna and Dagupan.

It rained really hard. I was able to take some pictures, but because of the rain some pics were kinda dark. The sky was really dark and gloomy. Anyway to name a few cars that came were:
Starlets KP61/62, Mitsubishi Lancers 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen 4th gen. RT140 corona sedans and wagons. Toyota corolla KE-20, 25,70. TE-71 corollas, Ford escorts MkII. Celicas, Fairladys, Mazda FC RX7. Nissan Sunny pick ups.etc. Even a customized Truck Head came ( I think it was a Kenworth).

Sellers where everywhere!!! Even in the rain.
A raffle was held around 5:30 pm. Gifts and prizes were given away.

Parking was tight! Its an open public parking, so some of the guys parked farther from the venue.

I wasnt able to bring my 1982 Mitsubishi Lancer ( see Mitsubishi Garage : Jetto's Mitsubishi Lancer A173A Sedan) for fear that flash floods might get me stranded in the streets on my way back home. Instead brought a Toyota 2003 Altis to get there. It rained hard for 3 hours. Fortunately I left earlier, Metro Manila experienced flash floods that day. I got home safe. Hope the other guys were safe.

In that first group of pics, why do most of those Toyotas have wheel and tire combos that look to small? Is that a popular trend over there?

Its sort of a trend . In the late 70's and early 80's. 13 inch rims were common. 14's and 15's were very rare.
So common wheel set up then were fitting wide 13x7s 13x8 13x9 rims with tire sizes 175/50/13 , 175/ 60/13, 205/60 /13
14' rims during those times didnt have 50 series tires available in the market . 60, 70, series profile ratio tires mostly fitted on bigger cars.
it was then considered fat tires= ugly. except of course if you got Fat slick tires at the rears
its just going back to the old trend.... back to 13's
