So, we have the JNC Models thread, why not a Toy & Diecast thread?

If you guys are up to it, I'll start out with a few entries. My only request is that we keep it on track with fairly Nostalgic cars... let's say, representative of 1985 and older? This topic can include various diecast scales, as well as Tomica, Choro-Q, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Corgi, Diapet, Dinky, and various other brands of tin and plastic toys

Here goes...

I'll start with something called the The Japanese Cars Collection by Hachette Fujingaho Collection / Norev Miniature Collection.
This line contain various Japanese makes and the cars come in a large box with a magazine. Everything is in Japanese, but this is still a cool set to collect. I have to limit myself to just the toyotas, but check out their website for other offerings.

Nice set!

All I've got is my two Jada Option D S30s, as below.

And I ordered a third Option D S30 last night off eBay, haha.

I must have about 2500-3000 toy cars of which there must be at least 300 Nissans and maybe 3-400 other Japanese makes. I like toy cars...they're easier to collect than full size ones (although I do my best to collect those too ) Here's some of which pics are handy on photobucket...

Just picked up these two in 1/43. Both by Norev ...Nissan Sunny (B10) and Nissan Violet SSS (KP710)...

Image

Image

Some 1/43 Pit-Road Sunnys (I love these!)...

Image

Got dozens more 1/43 but those were the only pics I have online right now.

Got lots of pics of small scale ones on there though though. Tomica Nissan Cedric (330)...

Image

Tomica Marusen Technica Sunny (KB110)...

Image

Konami Nissan Violet SSS...

Image

Very poor Datsun 126X by SZE (got these by Matchbox, Aguti and Metal Box too)

Image

Datsun Cedric hardtop (230) by yatming...

Image

Tomica 510 coupe...

Image

Tomica Nissan Sunny Excellent coupe...

Image

Tomica Nissan Cherry 1400GX coupe (F10)

Image

Tomica Datsun 1500 double pickup...

Image

Tomica Nissan Caravan (E20)

Image

Got these really tiny diecasts made by Miniature Model Planning too. Not sure of scale ...probably 1/87...

Tomica is one of my favourite brands, happy to see that new releases comes out constatly. Here is few of my favourites.

I've moved this post because I realised it was in the wrong thread...)

I'm currently working my way through the Ebbro Oldies range but I also like these 1/64 cars from Tomica in their Limited Vintage and Neo range. I have these on another forum but I thought you guys would like to see them too :D

The level of detail has to be seen to be believed on a model that is barely 2 inches long! Some unusual subjects too which are seldom seen in 1/43rd which is my normal thing.

The copper Gloria is beautiful as are these two Skyline saloons from the days when a dump valve had yet to see the light of day!

Image
Image

Isuzu Bellett which is more normally seen in Coupe form as a model:

Image
Image

Same can be said for the Hino Contessa - this one is a beauty:

Image

One of my faves is this C30 Nissan Laurel:

Image
Image
Image

The Hillman Minx built under license by Isuzu:

Image

This Mazda Carol is so tiny!!

Image
Image

Toyopet Corona

Image
Image

Three oddballs in a row:

Image

One of the best in Tomica's Limited Vintage range is this early 70s Galant. I had to get both colours of this one:

Image

Here's the Galant with a late 70s Corolla (I'm rubbish at Toyota model codes, I only know KE10!!):

Image
Image
Image

There are also some 80s cars in their Neo range such as this Mazda 929 variant:

Image
Image

And this amazingly detailed JDM spec Corolla. Check out the 16-valve badge on the rear window!!

Image

These two are by Konami, 710 Violet SSS:

I've never actively tried to buy diecast Japanese stuff, always preferred kits where I can have my own input (or spending money on brochures), but in the course of hunting for Matchbox Superfast cars I did end up with a few Tomica:

Image

It's been a constant source of regret that what this Skyline set cost me didn't get spent on old brochures, though admittedly it is nice:
