for many years he all but ignored his past success, but we're very pleased to see him embracing it (and profiting off it ) long live BRE !!!

Where do we start...

In the late 60s Pete Brock was promised the contract to race the Toyota 2000GT in the SCCA. Well, when Shelby opened a Toyota dealership, he stole the job out from under Brock. That's one reason...

And the reason Brock went to Datsun and basically said "Give me some cars so I can go kick Toyota's (and Shelby's) ass".

Another story: Brock designed the Cobra Daytona Coupe. Recently when he decided to start a company building replicas of the Cobra Daytona Coupe, Shelby sued him for it.

Those are just two of the many stories I've heard...

yeah, I knew the Toyota tale, the Daytona one too. The first Daytona was built around Ken Miles's body size. The sueing bit I didn't know about, I do remember in the 90's I think, Shelby sent out letters to all of the replica builders asking them to donate to one of his charity funds and only one wrote back and gave money. A lot of them told him to stick it up his arse.
