Another Subaru guy here.

Hi every body, another Subaru guy here. I found this place trolling Google for old pics. And noticed Kostamojen's FF-1 project was here and after reading it for a bit, I thought I'd drop in a say hello.

I put around town a 1983 Subaru GL 4WD Hatchback. the old beast has almost 200k on it, but still runs strong.

Hello kind sir, the FF-1 is looking good.

Yeah I've been enjoying the GL quite a bit lately. I'm looking into converting it to RWD and giving it a 3.5 ratio WRX LSD. right now it's 3.9, would prob get slight better millage. that way. (having the RPM @ 4k when going 70mph kinda sucks.)

I'd also like to source a 2WD hatch at a bone yard so i can get bits to lower it. Otherwise it'll be custom job.

Yeah the WRX needs new o2 censors. I'll prob be back again some time this or next week.

well first of all some idiot smashed the rear window before i bought it so that is going to be hard to get i think.. so while im saving and looking for the window can i get a warrant with perspex?

What windows are smashed?
I beleave you can still get the front windsreen?
Im not sure whats the guts is about window rubber is tho. I got to give my glass man a call. See if he found out?
My one is a restoration Job thats on hold.
Are you going to keep it the same red colour?

70 at 4k sounds like lo range.. or slipping worm wheel.

my own at 3600 is 92mph.
maxxing oil pump is still 70 something (2850).
It gets taller gears after welding the rockers...believe me or not.

actually boxer3main that is about right for the 4sp 4wd tranny, they didn't have the nicety of 5th gear like you do
