I think most if not all Japanese Coupes came with fender mirrors.. in Japan. The majority won't have them here as they were not an option in the USA. That is of course if a previous owner did not install them. If you want fender mirrors you will have to source some hen install them yourself...

so I need a 510 or carina or some cool coupe to put some on.

Sharm? you got pics of your mirrors.... I';d love to browse them!

Who says? Go put em on your XT, that would look KICKASS. Alotta the 80s cars had em in Japan.

Now add some old school JDM rims and it'll look more nostalgic. :tu:

Just make sure you get some boxy ones that match the general shape of the car.

early british cars had fender mirrors though they wont be a bullet style, more of the classic thin chrome stalk.

they used them on the XT, I have seen a promotional pic or 2 of XT's with them on them over the years, they were the big boxy black plastic/rubber looking ones, I just need to find the pics again...

I would love to see those...

would be great to do it like those were so I could be "correct"

just read that door mirrors were illegal through 83....

but many cars offered the option of fender mirrors way past that.

Commercial vehicles still have them. Sometimes a commercial vehicle can look the same as a passenger vehicle but with fewer options and more drab trim.

See the difference between S130 Crown wagon and van.

You're right. I found fenders of Lancer CB (91-96) and the K-car Daihatsu Mira with fender mirrors attached to them at my local used parts shop who imported most of the parts from Japan.

And look at this.. May not be original though as the door side mirrors are there too

i must say that looks mighty odd with both fender mirrors and door mirrors. looks like something you would see a rice boy do here

leaning towards this being a bad idea since it won't be period correct for my old subie.

After putting them on my FII I have realised they were a good idea. Admitadly my car is a different period but they make a huge difference...Yours will be the only one probably with it :)

your car seems to be about the right vintage.

mine is a bit new for fender mirrors....

but maybe not I'm tempted.
