Scored some new wheels off craigslist today for $100. Hopefully I'll have them all polished/painted/mounted by friday.

15x8 -20 boyds. Guy had them advertised as 15x10's, but they are stamped 15x8, so I got them a few bucks cheaper, still a good deal.

So, I put the boyds on for now. I've got air bags for the rear, but I am still researching a setup for the front. We'll see. For now, I cut the springs a bit more and put the boyds on. Looks sick, but I need to figure out something for that panhard. The left rear corner looks awesome! But the passenger side is hella sunken, lol. So, here's how it sits right now. Next thing is going to be some kind of shortened panhard.

really nice ressida you have there man. i eventually want to one of these or a 3rd gen cressida or a crown not really decided yet as a crusier car/ for the panhard/ lat rod. contact http://technotoytuning.com/index2.php they should be able to make you one :D might be a lil more cuz it would be a custom order but they make great stuff and itll give you the adjustablity that you need.

haha, I have one of each. I have to say, I've owned over 20 cars since I started driving, and these two cressida's (which are the only toyotas I have ever owned) are my favorite. For comfort, innovation, styling. I just love them. I'm not saying I am abandoning my datsun/nissan obsession, but I am definately a vintage toyota nut now!

Hey man for the panard rod i used the rear toe adjustment arm from a 1990 celica then had my mate chop n weld it together. It slots inside the tube with only slight mod. gives me heaps of adjustment with no rub at all. total cost $8 in parts and $12 in beers.

still might be getting the starsharks, we'll see. These look good, but I'd much much rather go with 14". This thing is going to be bagged, and right now, even with 195 50 15's the tires touch the top of the wheel well before laying crossmember/unibody (I tried it out with no springs, lol) so 14"s are what I ideally want on this thing.

So, I was working on the car a little today (pulling off panhard, modifying bumpers and such) and I was looking under the car when I was pulling the rear bumper off. The inner links on the rear end are almost bottomed out on the unibody. So, once I put the bags in, I will only be able to go about 1/4" lower then it is :(. So, I am looking into replacing the inner arms with an aftermarket heim join setup, and moving the arms closer to the middle of the rear end, and out of the way of the unibody. This will allow the car to drop another 2.5-3" when I get the bags installed.

Also, I realized that the driveline is touching the floorpan, oops, lol. So, cutting and modifying the driveline tunnel is also currently in the works. I sure am glad I dont rely on this car to get me anywhere, because it's going to be out of commission for a while, lol.

In the weeds is the expression used over here. Satin black is a nice colour :)
All ours came with the smaller chrome bumpers but those big boys you got are starting to grow on me. Keep the pics coming.

I'm actually thinking about leaving it all hargard, lol. The only thing is I want to pop that huge dent on the driver's quarter out, and it'll be hard without bondo and shit, lol.

We were the only ones that got the ugly ass bumpers :P. I tried to get some aussies to sell me one of those bumpers, but nobody has an extra I guess, oh well.

Looking great. I see you're having similar suspension issues to me. Unfortunately my front struts are fully compressed (shorter inserts/coilover conversion will happen eventually) and my rear sits further over on one side just like yours...I'll be watching your panhard mod with interest.

I might be switching to heim joints and bars for my inner links and runnin them diagonally instead of striaght forward. If it turns out well, I should be able to cancel out the panhard bar completely. We'll see what happens :D.

beautiful car. leave it white. All classic japs, especially sedans look beautiful in white.

I looked hard for one of these. I'm in Texas. Almost bought one in new york, but I flaked. Shipping would have been more than the car and I had no way to determine the condition. Usually I trust ebay-ers but with $1000, 30 year old cars....no. Found one locally. Couldn't get the guy to return my calls or emails.

Ended up getting an 810 sedan. I'm happy, but still looking. Having 1 of each would be great.

Your wheels look sick and the stance is amazing.
