...Nice  Paint looks to have shined up excellently. The world needs more time capsules.

Not a Corona owner, but I'll keep a lookout for you when I'm in the vicinity (looks to be somewhere along Railroad?), and buy you some fish tacos if I see you. They always go well with a Corona, to continue punning 8)

Is it just me, or is there no evidence that rear door handle holes ever existed?

yes your are correct in two points
those pics are outside my work that is off railroad witch is where the car is kept and yes apparently the never had door handles??
well at least that was what i was told
you may also notice the corona and deluxe badges are missing with no holes.
i guess the previuse owner had the car made for him?when it was made that way im assuming was after production.
so know im on the hunt for door handles badges and mirrors.
do you own an older toyota?

Mine is a 69 and is oiginal black plates. Matches my 69 Crown with the V8. Mirrors are the TE27 ones flipped around. Been to TORC since the late 90's.... That sticker on the back of the car is one of the original TORC stickers. See the 1600GT grille?

ok i had seen dan taking a picture of my corona at torc and had to post it
dan is really getting this photography thing down, his pics are superb
Image
i have been very busy with the corona but as of lately i just drive it to work and around
i actually ended up meeting a guy in riverside that had 10!!!yes i said 10 of these coronas in his backyard(years 65-69)2 door 4 door
i guess at one point he had like 20 coronas.
they had been sitting around for a few years so none of them ran.
i bought soooo many parts because the guy was very very reasonable.
before torc carlyn dinker(corona parts seller)took a few of the cars apart to use the parts.
i did however find out from the seller that there are still a cuple of cars left witch one of them is in good condition.
i tried to get parts from it but it was meant to be sold as a whole car(if anyone is intrested in rescuing this car please let me know)
i will hopefully go down there and take some pictures of it.
its a green metallic color with tan interior,if you have ever seen this color combo it is absolutely gorgeous.i think a 68 4 door deluxe, mint interior.

hahah, thanks for the compliments! I'm surprised any of the pictures came out at all, considering the daze I was in from the morning speeding ticket, not getting enough sleep, and running around all day under the sun w/out sun block. :P

Wow, 20 Coronas! That's dedication right there...I hope someone rescues that green one.
