I have a buddy that just bought an older Transformer toy (from 1984).
At first we thought it was a Toyota Supra, but some diligent searching eventually proved us wrong, and it turned out to be a Nissan 300ZX - Zig Zag the Renegade Gobot.
Still cool, but hey, I'm a Toyotageek! Laughing

Anyhow, it brings me to this... How many and which of our beloved JNC's have been made into Transformer toys?
I haven't been able to find a site that was easy to navigate or had a search feature which included car make & model.
I figured some of our astute members, many who are both JNC fans and Transformer Otaku would have some answers! Wink

I await your flood of replies...

There was also a 280zx transformer, the name escpes me however. Also in the 80's there was a line of automotive combat toys based on real cars called M.A.S.K. one of them driven by a charector named Vanessa was a purple 300zx with pop out wings and missles.

Prowl was the 280ZX, and he was my favourite Autobot, even before I knew anything about cars haha.

I actually have that M.A.S.K. 300ZX from when i was a kid. Knew there was something special about it so I kept it in good shape. Still works perfectly lol. I like how it has that subliminal ZX on the doors

Mike, you'll appreciate this - that blue 300ZX is from a set of sports cars that formed a larger robot. Among them was a Mk2 Supra police car! Very cool. The others were a Porsche, Corvette, Ferrari and Lambo if memory serves me right.

Van, I think Bluestreak was my first Transformer. Got it for Xmas way back when. Ah, memories...

The least they could have done for the movie was have an a 350Z, but I guess the unholy Bay-GM alliance put a stop to that.

Ben, I have those Gobots still! Just dug them out of a closet! It's a Corvette, Benz, Porsche, Z, Celica Supra, and Lambo, left to right.

They transform into this, if I did it right.

okay, so I did it wrong. Wiki has a photo of the big robot built correctly.

Wicked! Thanks for posting those pics. They sure bring back memories. And I just have to say this: Toyota Supra police car codpiece FTW!
