I made up a log type manifold for a T25 flange turbo. Not as pretty as some fancy stainless thing but it will work. This car will be an automatic so want a small turbo with good response. 18RG with EFI would be interesting.
Image
I will be using an old school Blitz water intercooler I got from Japan. This is just a mock up on the wrecked MK2 so no efi yet.
Image
OLD SCHOOL RULES!!!
Image
Some more goodies that are rare as hens teeth. some KOITO fender mirrors. I will use these on the MK2 MAYBE.... You should see the dust on these things...
Image
Some old school Ultra wires. which one should I use?

Awesome! Glad to see you jumped back into it! I still cry a little when I see the pictures of your old car.
Theres a red RT72 in my hometown, I keep trying to talk to the owner but have managed to yet. Great looking cars!

Thanks for a great set of photographs, and description. The RT-72 has been an all-time favorite of mine. I've been wanting an early GT-R for ages,
but suspect a semi shakotan-style RT-72 would be just as neat. Plus, my first drive was a four-door shovel-nose (white, tinted, with blue), so I've
always had a soft spot for the Corona.

Twin-cammed, with a five-speed, gray wheels, in cream with black fenders would keep me very happy...

The AU tail lights look great. Let's see them after the chrome is polished.

yea got a new kid and been pretty busy at work so progress is very slow. still gonna get some work done soon so hopefully there will be some updates soon. not many MK2s out there done in period correct style. its what I LIKE. I hate bling bling big ass wheels on older cars unless there is a big brake kit needing them wheels.

Hey! Great car, fantastic job (makes it look so easy when you post a picture of every step in 1,000, right?).

Unfortunately, one of these near me (in a yard) was crushed last year...I nearly cried, as it was rusty, but original and complete. There's another one I spotted nearby about 10 years ago, I might go and check if it's still there!

Thanks for posting...I need to get into the shed and restart my projects.

Cheers,
Duane

The tail lights showed up on e bay years ago and they were a little pricey but what the hell... Now they are most likely the only pair in the USA! Now I have to re-wire the lights so they work properly.

I was actually out in the garage working on a few things but did not get a chance to start back up on the MK2. I was going through the inventory of parts I have and also taking a look at my other toy.
