I've been wanting a early muitsubishi truck like the 1984 spx I had which was hte sport model mitsu. That thing always handled like it was on rails and it was a balst to drive. Plus it had the 2 square headlights instead of the quad heads that most of that bodys tyle saw in the states.

So I stumbled across a 1980 plymouth arrow the kid wanted 300 for. It ran, and it looked straight so I drove 2 hours down to check it out. Ended up being quite a nice find. Other than it is automatic -_-. Has some sweet but faded and half taken off early 80s graphics. Starts up, and the engine sounds great other than the dizzy appears to be off a tooth from the position of the dizzy and the 2 extra dizzy's sitting in the truck box.

I was super suprised to see how many options this thing has. It has cruise, ac and power steering. I've never even seen a early max with cruise, and this thing is 1980!

There is no rust on the body whatsoever, it was a cali truck. Body is real straight other than a dent near the bottom front of the drivers door, another ding behind the door and a small one on the passenger door.

Anyhow, I ended up getting it for 200. I will go back and pick it up later this week, but I am real happy to have another even though I havent figured out where to store it yet. I will have to hit up my buddy in woodland who said I could keep a car over tehre any time I needed :)

The paint is oxidized but will clean up very well with some rubbing compound and a pad.

I havent taken pics yet but here are the cl pics. I think i will have my friend who runs a vinyl cutting buisness redo the original graphics once I can find a good picture.

Very cool, I saw it when it popped up on craigslist just a couple weeks ago. Glad it went to a good home. There's a clean looking yellow Arrow Truck on Colorado Craigslist for $600 if you need something for parts.

You need to add a Plymouth Arrow car to that collection of yours. We need more Arrow owners on this forum, Blown and Fire are about all the company I've got!

And for that matter, you need a Plymouth Champ too!

I never did post pics. I have my eyes set on a 1979 dodge ram 50 sport thats yellow and a manual transmission right now. Frankly think I can pick it up for 100 bucks running which is cheaper than i can do 5 speed swap for.

They are pretty awesome. There's a good shot of an Arrow truck with the decals in the 1980 Chrysler Imports brochure (which I don't own).

Here's a pic of the relevant page:

Sorry the resolution's crappy, I saved it from an eBay listing.

damn thats awesome man. I wa sthikning about getting the graphics remade just because I like the old cheesy 80s stuff. I'm sure wiuth that picture I can get my buddy who runs a vinyl shop to get it cut for me :).

These trucks are a blast to drive. Especially the first gen. They handle amazing for a truck. They drive like a car rather than a truck. My toyota truck handles like a damn bus compared to my mitsu.

The matching red wheels are the bee's knees.

Matching painted wheels come from a time when Mitsubishis were made with..... style!
