some pics of the new wheels and tyres.
7x13 cheviot hotwire wheels 185/65/r13 tyres, decided to go with the 185's as I think it looks better with a tiny bit of stretch, not crazy like the jap boys.
i also think that 205's would have rubbed.

stoked with the result

hope you like em.

Just hooked up a electronic dizzy and a downdraft 32/36 weber to the 323
manged to get both for just a 100 bucks... woo hoo
sounds a bit more meaty now, and may have actually gained a few horses too.

Hey Guys do any of you know if you need to run a different coil if you have changed to a pointless distributor?

the reason that I ask is that I am having troubles on cold starts, needs to be cranked for a while, then it kicks over on two cyl, then three and finally four.
runs fine once its warm, however every now and again you get a slight miss at high rpm.

Bruce

Beaut 323 Bruce, also keeping an eye on your Alfa thread, a real challenge there however from what I can see you are up to the task OK, what is the timetable to complete?

BTW: on the subject of RWD 323s does anyone know anything about the yard full of RWD 323 vans out on South Pine Rd Strathpine across the road from Koala Cars.

Jim

thanks for the comments guys

Hudsonpie: I actually have no idea what dizzie it is, I think maybe of a later 323 wagon, but may be off a 626. unsure.

Jim: Yeah I have seen that yard, not sure what that is all about, where abouts are you that you have seen that?
I am in albany creek
The alfa is a real labour of love, loads of work to do still, but I am gradually making progress.
Send me a line some time of you want to pop in for a gander
