Welcome to JNC, paulcorolla! Thanks for quenching the Corolla drought and if you know any Corolla owners please tell them to come over. That is one righteous Corolla you have there... The color is out of this world! It's a great retro look, and the white rims complement it perfectly. Great work! :tu: :tu:

That is a sweet car. I have a TE27 that I was goin to sell. After seeing all of these TE27 on several message boards I decide to keep it. Now I will have two vintage corollas, my TE75 and my TE27.

COROLLAS RULE!!!!

You've built my dream car.

The chances of finding any Corolla of that vintage here in Kentucky are nil, unfortunately.

Wow. Loving the orange wheels on the green car. It's a color combination that just shouldn't work and yet it does!!!

Great wheels, great stance, great flares.

Fantastic. :tu: :tu:

The colourI just picked from a bunch of samples, I had a parts te27 that was pretty close, and I thought it looked good.
Here are some more pics.

Image
I'm running an 86 GTS axel, with TRD 2way lsd, the lower link mounts have been cut off as have the spring mounts. I made some lowering block/leafspring mounts out of 2x4" square tubing. I also had some new leafsprings made by a company in town, they were 2" flatter than the stock ones I took in. I have added 2 more leafs to each side now.

Image
I have been working on body bracing for the last couple weeks, doing some seam welding and adding little pieces here and there to stiffen it all up.

Image
It has a rollcage right now but it isnt built to any proper spec. So its coming out soon and I will have a proper one bent up.

I know some people think this sort of thing should'nt be done to a rare classic toyota, But it I hadnt bought this car, and the shape it was in, It would have gone to the crushers within a couple years. I just happened to have enough parts and the time and space to make it happen.
