that's a good website dude, thanks...I've been on a few modeling forums. mostly involving lowriders though...That's sorta my thing I guess, lowriders and mini-trucks, or lowriding mini-trucks lol.kinda weird for a skinny canadian white boy I know.

Really though I wish I had more time to work on my models cuz I still have stacks of unbuilt stuff, thousands on dollars in paint, custom parts and airbrushing equipment. Some of the paint is so bloody expensive, like alclad chrome is like $20 an ounce. I'll probably get back into it when I'm done building my truck...If I'm ever done building my truck.

I hear ya, i'm the same way. I get torn between working on my fullsize cars and wanting to build my models too. I probably have about 200 model cars unfinished. That message board is the best. I could spend a whole day or more just browsing around looking at all the finished projects and the one in progress. The guys on there really go into some great detail.

Made some more progress, got a new camera too.

Done headlight blanks, tail lights, oil cooler, sidepipe, carb linkages/throttle cable, badges/decals, dashboard.

Still a ways to go but much closer now.

Besides, they'd be tough to fit on the shelf with the other models and I'd have to explain to my wife why I'm spending all that extra time in my den.

That Hako is looking downright obscene, seventhskyline. Mad skill abound!!!

That engine bay is just spectacular. I love the detailing of the throttle cable. Looks amazing.

I'm also digging the "Love Skyline" decals. 8)

What do I think?

I'm thinking.... SWEET!

Looks like I could jump right in and drive off in it!
I love it when a model doesn't look like a model!
Nice job!

Wow--that TE27 looks fantastic. The Equips look great on it.

Maybe this will be the winter that I get back into model building (seems like I say that every year, though... :? ) This thread sure is a motivator.

Alright people, I am going to start a TE27 model soon. I am stuck on what color to paint it. I have it narrowed down between two choices, pewter or olive green. Let me know what you guys think.

I vote pewter, just cause there's so many olive ones around. Can't wait to see it!

I used to be way into building them 10 years ago, but kids and real cars got in the way. A friend of mine just got married so I made this for his wedding cake. The green Silvia is a replica of his drift car, the blue 180SX is a replica of her drift car.

It was quick and dirty, wish I'd had more time to detail them. But it's got me itching to build some more very soon.

Problem is, I've been collecting all this time even though I didn't build. So I have about 40 various Datsun/Nissan kits in waiting. :P

Try Hobby Link Japan at www.hlj.com. They have lots to choose from, some build-it-yourself, some pre-built.
