I think its a 2nd Gen Colt aka 1st Gen lancer. 1st Gen Colt was a Galant.

Still considered 1stGen... LA, LB and LC. This is an LB so think of it like a version 1.2. Officially the EX/ Box type is the 2nd Gen.

No EX Turbo yet... But (3 days ago) I got these...

Original Made in JDM Land Advan Turbo!!

13x5 offset 40.

I decided that the Advan Turbo's don't really fit the car's character so I offered them for Sale/Swap. Got an offer for 13x7 Original ATS....

So today; No more Advan Turbo's...

Swapped for Orig ATS... 13x7 complete with Center Cap!

Image

Din't even bring them home... straight to Master Wheels for refurbishing to look like this;

tein actually makes a roll bar for a early lancer? o_O Looks good man, yeah I agree those turbo wheels dont quite fit on the car. They would probably look much better on a box type. I love those ats wheels though. nice score!

:D Oh! Sorry for the confusion! No... Tein does not make a roll bar for Early Lancers. I had the roll bar custom fabricated by SMT based on the original Safari Rally Car's roll bar with a few modifications. It's just that when I took it for powdercoating they had a shade of green exactly the same as Tein's signature color so we've been calling the color 'Tein Green'

Yeah, I like the ATS much better too. The Turbo's would be perfect for a Box and that's where their going

ah ok that makese sense lol. I couldnt belive tein actually made one :) I've been thinking about putting a cage in my lancer as I am putting in my g54b turbo engine this week and I feel I need to do something to the chassis to stiffin it up and give me some safety if I crash as I know these cars dont hold up well since they are so light.

I know someone who rolled a 1stGen several times totally wrecking the car... no cage or anything... he walked away from the crash. You'd be surprised how strong it can be.

The primary purpose of the 'cage in my car is to stiffen the chassis. Big difference in handling.

Very cool. How much did those headers cost? I've been thinking about getting a local exhaust shop to make me a custom set, but I've got no idea how much it would run me.

Thanks!

The I got the headers a few years ago for less, but the same 4-1 Competition headers (Slalom spec for my car with really long runners) from SMT now will cost you 5000 Pesos. Thermal Wrap cost me 4500 Pesos. That's around US$ 211 all in.

Yes they are!!! Yellow Iode 45 pencil beams in Front and a white Iode 40 spot in the Rear as a Rally car-style reversing light!

Also have a little Cibie Maregnum rear fog lower left of the bumper.
