Greeting!

I am an Englishman living in Thailand who loves Old Skool Rides. Last year it was a tired looking 77 Sigma but this year I have fallen for a long term love. One owner from new in 82. Very original but for cut springs and the steering wheel.

What do you think?

She needs a front bumper and I'd like one like JUnRaymond. THe Gt one. but I am new to sourcing parts in this part of the world so I will see how I go.

Hope you like the pics...

Thats a clean car for a 82, specially on that side of the globe usually they are rusted. Welcome to JNC Im sure there will be people that can help you out w/ parts. Same w/ me im also looking for parts for my boxtype like the door weatherstrip and window moldings. Let me know when you got the right contacts.

Ha the gods must have thought she was too clean also... because on my way home a dog ran across two lanes to jump under my near side wheels! of course it hit the previously damaged side of the bumper and valance and creased the wing a bit but nothing that won't be hidden by a GT spoiler. Makes me more serious about a brake overhaul though. my Yaris would have stopped. Guess I'll have to factor that into my driving... till I get it fixed.

So far "THE LIST" is:

Oil and filter change
Brake strip and clean
Front bumper replacement
Front grille paint (maybe fit aux. lamps too)
Window tint (but not sure as it might loose its original look)
Low pros on the current 13s.

What do you think? :?

Not sure how the road conditions are over there, on a 13's I'd put a 60 series in there. check and make sure your brake pistons are not rusted and moving in and out. The tint is your call, I would have it on mine. :D

Nice '82 sir! Is it really that hard to find box-type parts there? I maybe able to help you find parts but I'm not familiar with shipping costs & procedures

Hey, how 'bout lowering your car like this...

2-finger ground clearance.. same color as yours.. hehe

thanks! and just how would I get it that low? Think I am running cut springs already and it's bumpy as you like...

Can you recomend budget shocks that would help dampen out the bounce?

Great pics. I love Low cars. My Skyline is going to b vertically challenged too! :tu:

Haha!.. it's really not that practical to get your box that low hehe

I got my springs cut 3 rotations in front and 2 in the rear. That's also my problem.. too bouncy & my 19" resonator (down pipe) has a 4" tear on it.. thanks to darn road conditions here in the Philippines :x ..well, that's the price of being cool & lowered 8)

Have you tried checking out the stability of your front & rear shocks? They might be worned out already, that's why the speed bumps..

Ohh Dude, I know my shocks are FUBAR. I KNOW they need replacing... its just a quesiton of with what...?

Now I have the added problem of, Do I sink money in to my SL or do I keep it for the Skyline project?

Part of me is overwhelmed by the prospect of a skyline. The other part of me loves the riding position of the Lancer and its light flickable body. THat part of me can see a little money making it a very credible street sleeper.

uprated brakes
SR20DE
GOOD suspension

And away we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Life is never easy...But damn if it ain't good fun!

Hi Loz,

Surprisingly, I saw Thai license plate in "Korat". I am living in Bangkok and my car also box type.

Any chance to come to Bangkok? You may visit me at www.lancer-club.net

Here is my car
