Hence our current location. All the current attenders live in the greater Fort Worth area. If we were POSITIVE some Dallas people would attend, we could move it closer that way.

:lol: Holy Smokes, I leave for a couple of days and look at this thread. Everyone else on the JNCF is gonna think us Texans are crazy. I didn't mean to start a whole hubbub about moving the time. As the event organizers you guys should hold the event when it is most convenient for you.

Just to explain myself I had a few motivations for moving the meet. It was something that was being discussed over on the local Texas Starion forum, so I'll just copy and paste my thoughts from there:

Not to sound corny, but if we get a heard of StarQuests, or a mix of old Japanese cars together I don't want to be huddled under a street lamp on a evening where the rest of the world is getting ready for bed. I want people to see the cars, come over, check them out... have young kids experience the awesomeness which is seeing a bunch of old classics hanging out, and generally amaze strangers. I think that meeting at a place like a restaurant is a good idea. That way if people want to get away from the heat there is a place to go.

I'd also be much more inclined to show up in my daily driver if I knew that I could make a day out of it. Eat, take photos, swap technical info with others, etc... Meeting in a decentralized location on a "week night" is great if you're doing a weekly mini-meet with a local crew... but if you want something big... you have to be accessible.

Also, and I guess this is just my $0.02 but for a once a month gathering I'd actually think you would WANT to bring the family, the kids, etc... I know that my girlfriend was like, "Sunday night?! how the heck am I supposed to attend?!" (she gets up for work really early) What can I say, I'm a lucky guy with a lady who likes old Japanese cars :lol:

:lol: Well we are not saying not to bring your SO or family. Wives and girlfriends tend to get bored with a bunch of guys sitting around endlessly talking about cars. DF's wife and kids have even come once or twice.
