Yikes, sounds like my poor x63. Due to the circumstances to it's loss and recovery I couldn't register it. So it's about half way to the scrap yard, on the up side it's supplying the donor heart and tranny to an x32. I wish you the best of luck however, losing this car would be a nightmare.. or the craziest track car you could build.

If she cant procure the document then its pretty much fraud. I will give her the option of giving me the 400 I paid for and I keep the car and sell it to somone wanting a track car, or If she wants the car back she can pay me for the car, all the repairs and parts, labour and the tow truck bill and dmv fees.

And if niether of those options work, its small claims time.

How difficult to fix is the front main seal near the crankshaft on a Cressida? I have found an 85' Cressida for sale that is leaking oil near the seal.

In fact I just did this repair on my '86 Cressida wagon. You can manage with just removing the radiator.

However, I have to warn you, these 5Ms are notorious for leakage. I changed out all the front seals (the 2 cam, crank and that other random one), the cam tower gaskets, the cam cover gaskets, oil pressure regulator gasket, distributor o-ring, and what they call the "racetrack gasket" and it STILL LEAKS. Now I'm looking into the oil pan gasket and possibly the oil cooler lines for the automatic transmission.

What would a 5spd car with leaking issues be worth?

Depends on what the body is like, what the engine is like, how much work can you do yourself etc etc.

Well the prev. owner is still doging me so I will give her a week before I write a formal letter before going to small claims.

Here is a new video with the Rabid Chimp intake installed (for celica-supra fittment) and Midas leaky exhaust special.

Also any MX73 experts know what this is suppossed to be connected too?

Any update on your car?

Also, I have a few Cressida questions:
1. Do all 5spd models have a LSD rear end?
2. If not all manual models have it can you tell which ones do by the vin#?

1. Not certain but if they didnt an LSD from a Celica-Supra should fit.
2. The vin if you know how to decode it should give that information at least on RA21's it does. There is a page out there that has all the toyota vin info.

No updates really. Been moving in to a new apartment so thats sucking up the time and money. I prob need to get the brakes done asap, and find out how much oil im burning with my leaky valve seals. A lot of maintnance things.

The next mods anytime soon would be wheels and tires and a small drop, pulling the mudflaps off.

I have the same magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 16723. Also some of the forum sponsors usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great exhaust system, sounds great, and very easy to install.
