Hey everyone. I'm a new guy here, I just typed a longer into and lost it when the computer froze up. Long story short...I'ma car guy and love American hotrods as well as vintage Japanese cars. I'm no purist, I like them cut up and modified, but i can appreciate a cool classic that is OG. I'm 36, a graphic designer and sign maker as well as a general hoarder of cool old stuff. On to the pics... I found this gem in a junkyard. I struck up a trade with the yard owner and I am making them a few signs in trade. This thing is in need of some parts, but I think it might be worth saving. I like the car a lot and have never seen another in Ohio. Feel free to chime in with your opinions and comments, and if you have some parts,I prolly need them too. Scott

I've always found the saloon to have a beautifully understated elegance to it's design, and while this is the first time I've come across a 1800 wagon, I must say that that elegance is still very much intact despite the boxy rear.
This has real potential!! 8)
I really hope you set your modding-antics aside on this one and restore it to something largely original! Such a rare and elegant classic deserves it. In my opinion anyway...

Awesome find!

If that's sitting in a junkyard in Ohio, what else is?!

Great find man, the body looks really good for being there in the junk yard.

Uncanny how the top of those left fenders rust in that exact same place. I had three that way.

It's the place for mounting fender mirror. There is a piece of metal attached under this site for reinforcement. The antirust treatment at this site may be defective. But why the other side is not rust like this? Don't know.

Maybe the workers on one side of the production line had better equipment or a better angle to do something and the other side didn't?

Anyway, Ausrotary is a good source of information on Mazda 1500 and 1800's.

This would have popped up as I was selling mine because I couldn't find parts. :/

I would have gone to Ohio and RAIDED this thing had I known.
