Thanks! I´m glad you like it! :)

I´m currently trying to get the CO-level down to comply with the regulations. After that it´s fully road legal since registration is already taken care of. I´ve taken the carb apart and found that someone had been "working" on it before. A few threads were bad, but no major problems. Tried to clean it, but didn´t have the right equipment for it. Will work on that later on. The main thing is to get it through the VAT.

I got my "new" wheels now, so it´s time to see if anyone´s interested in buying the Wats? How much you think I can ask for them? They are in 99% perfect condition. The tires are just over 3 years old and have lots of life left in them. The wheels are 14"x6,5" ET0 if I remember correctly. The wheels won´t be for sale for a little while yet, since I need to get the new wheels painted first, but I´d like to see if there are any takers.

The car is registered but it didn´t pass the MOT due to the CO-level. I´ll fix that when spring comes, since winter is here now.

send a pm when you decide on a price. Brand & size of tire?

Have to check the brand of the tires, but they are low budget. Never heard of them, so you might want to replace them. There´s nothing wrong with them, but they´re not "brand name" tires.

Give me an offer for the wheels. :)

Looks beautiful, the 2400GT differences make it something even more special. :)

Are you going to let us know what the new rims are ?

Thanks!

Yes, all in due time. :) I want to get them finished first. They are 16" instead of the 14" that are on the car now.

It seems like my old 14" Wats are sold. I took a deposit yesterday so now I just need to get the new wheels done. It´ll take a while since I need to find new bolts for them and that has turned out to be easier said than done. I´m looking for M8x35 with allen head. They also need to have locking washers on them which aren´t to large in diameter to fit the holes in the wheels. I´ve been in touch with the resellers of the wheels but they don´t know what I´m talking about. Maybe because the wheels have been out of production for some time. The bolts should look like number 2 in this pic:

If anyone have any idea where I can find some new bolts, please let me know.

Find a place with a laser and tell them the inside and outside dimensions you need. They will be able to cut you some out of stainless.

I don't think it would be that much. A simple circle would only take like 5min to programm and them like 10 min to run 20 or so pieces. If you want to pay shipping from the USA on them. Shot me a PM and the sizes of the washers and the quantity you need. I will cut them on my laser and mail you some.

I´ve seen that Hako before and it´s probably the ugliest in the world. So no, it´s not inspiration.

Thanks for the info, Eric. I won´t drive the car that far since the mileage on it is so low. I assume it´s Jan´s 2000GT that will be there?

See I have never understood that...?? :?
What's the point in owning such an awesome classic if you're not going to enjoy it on the roads as it was meant to be?
Absolutely no disrepect intended Perra! Just my thoughts...

If he said he wouldn't drive it at all and just store it in a warehouse under a dust cover I would agree. But I believe he still has the intent to enjoy it on the roads for shorter trips.

I think its great that he plans to preserve such an example while I drive mine for hours on end in the rain or shine. :D
