NICccceee!!! Im currently trying to restore a ke20 myself. Any recommendation as to where to get parts and or service done...?
Parts are hard to come by but they are out there.
Holy shit-balls that is awesome...!!
Looks sweet! Great work...
The arches and Wat's are way too cool and that green colour sets it off nicely.
What engine are you running?
Please get this one finished and on the road so you can treat us to some cool photoshoots...
Running original 2tg, I'll get more pictures and vid once its done
. looking really nice man.
i have a question though. on the weather stripping for the windows(front, rear, doors, and side passenger). are you using the original or did you buy new stripping, and if you bought new weather stripping. did you use the universal ones or was there someone or some place that you picked it up from.
Weather stripping came from Australia for KE25, I had to source front and back glass Tureno weather stipping from Japan because they are different.
I had to do a double take when I first looked at this post! Except that yours is a Trueno.
This is mine on arrival from Japan, currently untouched other than turning it into a rolling shell.
I like to think of mine as an Ikea TE27 Levin.
Like you, I have laboriously acquired every single part, no matter how obscure, required to turn it back into a TE27 Levin.
It also has a degree of rust, but will get there in time.
The specific Levin/Trueno weatherstripping does come along from time to time, like anything it is about being prepared to continually watch out on various sites, develop those priceless contacts, and if necessary shut your eyes when hitting the bid button. The front and rear screens are the difficult ones, you just have to be patient.
Everything about Trueno/levin is expensive if you can find it.
Weather stripping for front and back glass was $550 alone.
