Wow! That's what I call a real resto! I'm doing (almost! hehe) the same with my 1969 MS55 crown. How easy/hard is it to get parts for those down there pl?

Ps: Been to KL and Langkawi couple of years back! Twas fantastic!

hee. geting parts over here is quite hard. cant get it locally. if lucky might found some parts, such as doors,bumpers grills or any loose items frm the scrapyard. which is very often.. other thn dat d only option is to get it frm ebay n yhoo.jp..

hee... im staying in KL.. n from 21st july.. i will b staying in Langkawi for my training for aprox 18 months..

Great; that's exactly what I need-grille emblem, deluxe fender emblem, rear mouldings between tailights and some chrome trim. If you come across any just let me know please; thanks mate.

im not very sure how it will cost in d end. but up to this stage (bare metal) , i've spend about 17k malaysian rinngit (rm).. so its about 6k usd.

lately been realy busy with my studies.. im now living in langkawi undergoing my training.... will b living here for the next 18 months..

hee. yurp. thats ryt.

yea, rechrome it.. it cost me rm600 for both bumpers, rechrome n welding.. so rm300/bumper.. :wink:

greetings all,

this is the recent progress on the car. its done with the paint job but only for the engine bay, interior, and undercrg. the exterior part will be continue after the engine n stuffs is in it. now, its in the engine shop for stage 3 of the project. which is to assamble the engine parts n the main components.

here is some picture of it. its been painted with PPG, 534 pure yellow. its the same colour as before, the stock one.
