I had a few sedans so when this came up I had to get it. Runs a factory F series IRS and badged as toyopet. Heaps of cool extras and electric fender mirrors. Engine is a na 1jz and manual from x100 chaser. This is getting ITBs and know all the right people to acheive what I want.
Love seeing other X chassis cars from around the world.

Here's mine! Yesterday I ran into Yukishoro (first page, second reply) and was inspired to come and post here. She's not much yet (and has a long way to go!) but she's very high on my priorities list. :D

Here's a 1980 in North Carolina! http://charlestonwv.craigslist.org/pts/3808387214.html

Not sure why the owner refuses to sell it whole, but hey, parts!

Hey Guys,
first post here! I've just recently purchased a 77 mx32. I was in a bit of a situation and had to buy something quickly to use as my daily, and picked it up with registration ready to go for a great price. To be honest I didn't really think anything of these old beauties until I picked it up, immediately fell in love with the shape and lines of it!
The man I got it from kept it maintained for his elderly mother, and they were the first and only owners so it has been well looked after, he also swapped a crown 5m? engine into it. It was pretty beat up on the outside, but I checked my local wrecking yard and found another indentical 77 (it was even the same gold/brown colour!) for $300! Stripped everything we needed and some extra parts and sent the shell back to the wreckers.

My partner has been spending some time putting on all the replacement panels and just getting the car nice and straight ready for paint. Basically all i've done so far is bolt up the fender mirrors, then it went straight into the shed.

My plans for it:
firstly, I love minitrucks, that's the only scene i've ever been into, the state i live has the toughest modifying regulations relating to minitrucks (or anything in general really), I have never been able to build one to the potential I wanted, they draw alot of attention! A sedan like this, is a bit more un assuming, so it's a bit easier to fly under the radar as such!

I put on a minitrucks and customs show, which is coming up in october, so I want most of this work to be completed before the show (8 weeks away!)

- Paint a deep burgundy/cherry black OR dark brown (possibly with an off white roof)
- Air suspension, the rear is going to be very simple, but the front might be a bit more troublesome with the strut set up (so if anyone knows any alternatives, that would be awesome!)
- wheels, unsure at this stage, I might keep the steel rims and just paint them a gloss black with a chrome dress trim, until I decide which direction I want to go

Long term plans - if I keep the car long enough, it will be getting a 2jz engine transplant but that's a way off just yet!

I understand the direction I'm going probably isn't a really popular one for these cars, dont get me wrong, I love the jdm and stance looks. But I can't stray away from the minitrucks and customs scene and as soon as I picked this car up, All i could do was imagine it sitting on the ground, I think it's going to look great!

I cant add any pictures until I get home, work has photobucket blocked and i can't add any attachements!

your car sounds cool, there are a lot of static suspension lovers around here but i like the benefits that come with air ride on certain cars. the front suspension is pretty straightforward and can be treated like any other toyota of the type. shortened strut tubes with mr2 short-stroke inserts and springs/weld-on threads work.

if you keep the steel wheels, find a place to widen the shit out of them for you. if you're on airbags and gassed out the stock wheels will disappear under the car!
