As with the sketch above we have started on the Interior. Initially I was going to just purchase Datsun comp style seats off of Yahoo japan auction. I just wanted something somewhat modern with previsions for a harness. A couple things have changed since the sketch I added Pipping in the center section as well as radius in the corners to match the rear seat.

Quick example of the grommets with red material behind. The center section will be perforated vinyl not solid

More to come on the front seat Crossing my fingers it will look pretty good.

Original seats were pressed. There was hardly any real stitching besides secondary material to hog tie it to the frame.

Valve cover and Header back from powder coater. Since L28 3.1 is not going in for at least a year might as well dress up the L20.

L30 head still needs some cleaning! The fan needs re freshening
Stock header powder coated for now till I get my 3.1 situated and update it with something larger and polished like you other hako owners! :)

This is going to be one sweet Hako when it's finished  . I really like the way you are doing a full restoration. The flaws in the bodywork just go to show how much of 'hidden history' a freshly imported car has.

I would love to see it in the flesh one day. Keep up the good work mate, I've got this topic bookmarked :)

Door panels/ Rear panels are pretty beat up. Rear Panels had water damage and did not match material of front panels.

Removing and redrilling all the holes was not as bad as I thought. Mounting the metal frame on new board was a PITA.

These are the first boards. Bought from an interior trim store. After doing one board trimmer didn't like how flexible the board was asked me to do them again in Masonite. Fingers crossed on second try. The good thing about the black board is its water proof Masonite isn't but then again this car better never see rain.

Had to do it, Move number two. Progress was going to slow so hopefully it will pick up in time for summer time driving.
