:D Sounds like the best idea I have heard in a long time. Yeah, I never felt the Southlake meet suited our needs. Yes it is big, but far to many kids thinking their import, domestic, euro is the shit. I think I will still go there from time to time and maybe try to recruit some of the ones that are into older metal like ourselves. Tim, if you ever want to roll out there sometime let me know and I will go with you. I think I might at least show off my new headlights at least once.

I really do like the drive-in idea or crusing to another location. :D

Cool! Frankly (no offense to all you fine gentlemen) our meets can get awful stale especially with limited attendance. Having a little activity planned I think may help kep things fresh and give us all a reason to show up every month. Really when you think about it, we've had a lot of people come over the course of time. We just haven't retained many. This might help get some of the previous visitors out of the garage. If not we'll still have a good time.

So, that settled. Would you guys like to plan something for this next meet or wait and everybody discuss it in person? We could do a grill-out , drive-in suggestions? The next meet will be here quickly.

Like, this Sunday in fact. I say we meet at Da Bird (Freebird's) and discuss it this time then maybe try for something more ambitious next month.

That sounds great b/c I am not sure if we'll be able to make it out this time or not since it's my Mom's birthday, so we'll either spend Sat or Sun with my parents.

Should be able to make next month's meet, looking forward to something fun!

Just as these were getting closer to my side of town...

I've been entertaining the idea of having a gathering at my shop and doing a little BBQ for some time now. I've just been to busy to organize anything.

If a few would be willing to drive to McKinney, I would get things going for a hangout day/meet and greet, washerboard tournament... horseshoes, etc. Just thinking aloud

You know what? I just realized I have had tix to today's Ranger game for weeks now. It's a 2pm game with a concert afterwards. Might all be over at 6:30-7pm. I'll come after that if people will still be there?

Personally McKinney is too far for me being in Ft Worth and having to get up on Monday morning. That's just me, others I'm sure are closer. Thank you for the input and hospitality.

Wow how the time flies. It's been like 3 or 4 months since I made one of these meets. So I guess we are back at Freebirds now. I'll plan on heading down to Hurst tonight then.

I'll be there tonight at Freebirds. Let's try to get as many to show up so we can talk about some activities to plan. maybe if we can get more organized, we can do more things as a group. Maybe go to some local shows as a group or something.

See everyone later.

Darn, I was kinda hoping no one was coming tonight. I guess I'll dig the Seven out of the garage and head that way. See y'all in a bit.

Ok. Since no one has said anything yet, and I had a really busy day yesterday, and I am going to have a busy day today, and it will probably be too hot for my candy @ss, and I apparently don't know that comma-splices are bad... I am NOT going to show up at Da Bird tonight. See y'all next month.

yeah, I posted to our NTJN facebook page and got no response. didn't see anything here either. I wonder what's up? I'm going to skip this month too since there has been no answers.

To Management:(whoever you are) lets try to work this stuff out a couple weeks in advance. we'll have much better turnout if we make a plan, stick to it and give folks advanced notice.

See you next month.

Now, let's talk about next month.

Lets go to the Ft. Worth Drive-In movie next month. What do you guys think of that?

Also, what if we come up with specific duties for a few individuals? So we know who's job it is to do what etc.

I'm not thinking like Pres, Vice Pres necessarily but more along the line of event coordinator, etc etc... I don't know, just thinking out loud here.
