Well today I made a trip to pick up a 3tc. Came with 2 heads. 1.6l from a 2t and a 1.8l from the 3t. Its all taken apart only things missing are header, cam, intake manifold. Got a few boxes of parts and extra parts. Cant wait to get started on this build and get it in the car. Hope to be around 220 Whp for starters. The guy i got it from said he dynoed the engine and it put down 117whp. It has had some work done to it. And has upgraded valve springs.

Glad me and my dad will have another project again.

Some pics.

I think I saw this for sale on cl. Seemed like a good deal. What are your plans to get your hp #'s?

Not 100% sure yet. I would like to get it nice and quick and snappy for some good 3rd gear pulls and some burnout fun lol.

I know for sure dual sidedrafts....BRD header...Crower cam....head work done. Ive gotta see if the 1.6 head is in good working order, I heard running them will give you higher comp...MSD...Still in the works. As i will pry be buying things part by part with each paycheck and or saving ona few to get bigger pistons and ssuch.

you could go wild. 3t engines natrally have a lowish compression. You could get a used TRD blower from a SC modern toyota and make that baby scream on 3rd gear pulls. There is also the turbo route. and there is the good reliable cammed, big carbed header NA route.

Looking forward to seeing quick 3rd gear pulls.

I was actually surprised the power output I got slapping a single 32/36 on my corolla. Excited for 2 lol
