Awesome find!!

Not to take away from this thread, but if anyone on here needs help with any USA deal PM me. About to open up our own shop and we have truck and trailers too. So we can help with whole logistics at a fair price.

I'm not normally one for left hand drive, but seeing as though its the only way you can buy one, then so be it! Its actually not too bad to drive with, just need a little more caution turning left but otherwise its pretty much the same, although drive thrus require an assistant. Any more details on the other one imported Dave?

I will try and get a photo for you.

Sweet that would be great!

Congrats on the REPU, a little bitter sweet since it made its way down under. Color is awesome! Don't see to many orange REPU's... that's rare!

I love the colour, it says 70s better than most!

This is a good buy.
I looked long and hard at this one when it came up.
The motor build is minor. The rest of the truck is fantastic..
Good job.

I have been looking for one for mine as well! very tough to find. There is one for sale on rx7 club but not complete, just the controls and console. looks like it needs work.

Totally agree, the motor is easy to fix, the rest of the drive train is good, and the body is awesome. I knew that it probably needed work, Ive imported a few cars from Japan and no matter how much you pay or how many photos you get there will always be something to do that you don't expect at first!! I'm still kinda surprised that no one in the USA snapped it up.

So after sending the plates away for relaping, it was time for reassembly..

All parts cleaned, wrapped and ready for assembly

Close to stock, just a tiny tickle on the exhaust port.

Block all buttoned up. Clutch in corner of shot rebuilt too, couldn't source a new replacement it has a weird 9 bolt pressure plate. Thanks to Direct Clutch Services for this.

Closer

Nearly!

Many thanks to Automotive Plus, Danny, Jason, Simon and Dave(s) for all their help.

Argh... if only I owned a rotary...
Adrian, what do you say you give me a good deal on that evil little R100 of yours, so I have an excuse for diving head first into a bidding war against you on this cool retro jacket??

Haha I hope theres not too much competition on the jacket! Everyone needs a rotor powered car in their life, at least once :)

I have seen yours, will be a beast and a half with the 20B, so much room in that engine bay for it too!
