Unless you have other ones you are swapping in from another vehicle, no. Leave the stock strut casings as-is. Ive done 3 sets adjustable coil overs w/sleeves on TE31's/KE30's and it is maximum low in the front without even adjusting the coil overs. Reflector scraping low when they are adjusted all the way! Any questions or if you need help I can send pics.

Well that's a heart warmer for cold friday morning ;)

Unfortunately I traded the car not long after that for a nice looking '74 peanut. The orange TE is currently gattering dust in a barn not too far away waiting for a buyer. Saddly I would've love to be able to keep it but I can't afford 2 project right now.

Keep yours, you won't regret it. And keep on wrenching!

Thanks!!! The picture helps, I left it with a friend to weld it. Hopefully I can put everything back together this weekend. Seems like I can get a real nice drop.
Oh and I got my good friend to purchase an 85 celica a few days ago. Now he is one of us

Nice project man... This is inspiring to my current project... I just got a te31.. How hard was it to install the ground control coils? I want to buy a set for mine... But what did u do for the rear? I was thinking of putting 3" blocks on the rear but I'm not sure.. Sick car btw man it looks good! :D
