I'm about to shave and shower then I'll re-check this post. After that I'm headed to Southlake Town Center at 1830h (6:30pm). I'll probably nosh on a Five Guys Burger... unless someone else make an alternate dining/meeting suggestion.

Anyone planning on going to the Cowtown Cars 'n' Coffee tomorrow @ LaGrave Field? I'll be there in the Celica. It just started up, this being the 3rd meet-up. Every other month, start-up at 8am.

Dag-nabbit! If I don't quit doing these other things on Saturday morning, I'll never get Lil' Wiggly back on the road. I'm going to have to give it a miss I'm afraid... unless we want to do this then go to the car show at the body shop. John?

Well, since the Southlake thing got moved out of the big parking garage to a burger joint halfway back to Freebird's, I'm in a quandary as to say where we should meet. I'll follow y'all and meet wherever I'm told we're meeting... as long as it isn't in Not-Texas.

Which translates to across the county line in/near Dallas. And since we've never been able to get any Dallas people to show up, I don't see us moving it out there any time soon.

It was for awhile, as you can see from Tim's post above, it is in limbo right now... Thoughts?

we're in dallas & we've showed up before, just haven't been able to make it out due to bad timing, obligations & too much other crap going on.

so what happened with the southlake thing? too many burnouts/show-offs/loud music complaints?

Probably. Seems to happen to most meets that attract a younger crowd.

i figured on the southlake thing.
i feel too old to be anywhere near that kind of shyte tbh + i'm not interested in going somewhere with a ticket-happy revenue generating mob looking for anyone with a large exhaust import to pull over.

I'll second that darth. Hanging out with a bunch of kids with big winged Hondas with fart cans makes you a target for the po-po. no thanks.

It was a bit unnerving trying to drive away from there in the Seven after dark constantly on the watch for 5-0. So... back to Freebird's?

Works for me.

Just thinking out loud here...

What if we made the meets a little more interesting?

Maybe plan an activity for each meet?

Maybe a movie? A BBQ? A cruise to somewhere maybe a special restaurant? I don't know just trying to think of something to keep it fresh and give people a reason to show up. Thoughts?

the drive-in! I forgot about that. I might suggest we all still meet at the freebirds or somewhere like that and then cruise to wherever like the drive-in so we all arrive together. again, just thinking out loud.

yeah, exactly crash everyone could meet at freebirds then roll out to wherever, like the drive-in, some backroads to cruise etc.
