HIGH POINT outdoor park is officially reserved for AUG 11 2013
address: south east corner of 7800s 1000e; sandy utah
time: we have it reserved from 4pm to 10pm but gathering is expected to start at 6pm

i want to put together a new show this summer/fall.

this thread is for brainstorming dates and venue.
right now im thinking first week of september and maybe at the old fundome since that lot is dead and huge. or under the freeway near 21st for a cool concrete jungle atmosphere. my little park was too little last time.

I like the fun dome idea...............not as familiar with the under freeway area. Nice could be an issue in that area.

i think i like flat iron mesa park off 8600s and between 1300 and 2100e. larger than the last park. same atmosphere.

If we can get a good showing we could see about doing a meet/show at Miller motorsports park. Greg Miller has the Land Cruiser museum and I'm sure wouldn't mind showing off a few of his collection. The Euro Fest was there last year and it was super fun, it coinicided with a drift event and a Lap Battle race so there was a lot going on. I know a few people that work there so I don't think it would be that much work to set something up as long as we knew we could get a lot of cars.

Flat Iron is a good park but gets really busy during the summer with all the kids soccer and baseball. We'd need to reserve a date or do it late in the day it will be fine. And it's close to my house again so I like that. I'm so glad the weather is getting good, I've been missing all the meets and car stuff.

i think that in the interest of familiarity and the business of flat iron mesa, we are going to just sell out the original location at highpoint park in august. once i get a day scheduled, i will pass along the information.

I hope to be there with one of my Dattos. I was there in 2011, but didn't bring my Z. This time I hope to be rocking the 510, but its a long shot.

Looking forward to this! Derek has done a great job. We should all pitch in some $$ to help cover the costs.

Bump.

I hope to make this. Have to reassemble my car and try to tint my windows before this.

Ah, but I already have a tow vehicle and trailer. Just need to get this 280ZX off of the thing.

Still trying to make this work somehow. Just need to figure out if I want to drive back on Sunday night or stay the night up north with in-laws and miss some work on Monday morning. The 510 is nowhere near street legal and the front suspension is currently scattered all over the garage while I do the ZX spindle swap. We'll probably drive the Z if we decide to make the 3.5 hour trip up there.

its worth the trip. a lot of utah guys that arent on forums or fb come out of the wood work. plus i think jdm legends may be bringing a car or two. i have my fingers crossed for the authentic 4door gtR to grace us.

it's looking like I'll probably make it, but the car won't be exactly show-quality. it's kinda a work in progress.
