I just got word of this and thought I'd help spread the word....

The 2013 Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance will have a Japanese class - "Japanese manufacture through 1985"

Should be a good opportunity for more recognition of our beloved Japanese classics.

Hopefully some nice examples will enter and be accepted. :tu:

I feel that this a great opportunity for those who have either restored or maintained stock cars. I myself am a big fan of authenticity, and I'd love to see a good showing at this event. If you have a bone-stock mint 1981 Honda Prelude, or cherry 1968 Toyota Corolla in perfect condition, or perhaps a Mid-70's FJ40 you've spent the last 5 years restoring, I'd encourage you to fill out an entry form.

Cars at a concours like this are not judged based on their dollar value, but rather on how close they are to factory specification. It's a real opportunity for those of you who know our make and model inside out to display your knowledge and restoration/maintenance skills.

Let's make a strong showing!
To entice more Japanese car clubs, the organizers are giving us FREE VIP parking adjacent to the Japanese exhibit! All you need to do is mention your car club at the gate and park with your fellow J-tin owners! Please remember, entrance into the concours is $20.
