Hi i just picked up a 77 colt custom coupe for $1,000. It is in fairly nice shape, 135,000 on the chassis, 35k on a rebuilt engine, 4 speed. It has a few surface rust spots.but besides that its.clean.

I do have the original dealer sticker, owners manual, brochure for the 77 colt, and all maintenance records for it. All in all it seems like a good deal for $1,000.

i dont really know anything about these cars, i can't seem to find much info. Any steps in the right direction as far as parts go would also be appreciated. I'll get some pics soon.

If you check out ClassicColt You will find several of us in PNW hiding out on there. As well as plenty of info for you :).

nothing really for aftermarket, anything that was available is impossible to find. Replacement parts, try ebay or rock auto. Congrats on the new car, sounds like a good deal.

Yeah its the yellow one off cl in lacey lol. I'm gonna go snap some pics later today at the airport.

Btw, what lug pattern is the colt? Looking for some rims and I wanna make sure I'm getting the right ones. The guy I bought it from said he thought it.was 4x100.

4x114.3, we don't run that wimpy 4x100 stuff . Remember you will need a offset that caters to RWD (+40 and above is not going to fit without spacers)

Center caps if in good shape, there tends to be yes.

Looks Good! Needs a cleaning though, get rid of the adhesive left behind from the trim.
So it's a PNW native car, that's good!

I believe there will be 3 Colt Galant/Lancer owners now in the Seattle-Tacoma area, Towat has a '73 Lancer and Lancer EX1800 box type around your neck of the woods somewhere and 71ColtGalant is in Seattle.

Myself and a buddy are up north, he rallies his '77 Colt Lancer in BC.

Thanks. I havent had much time lately to do anything to it, but I'm hoping to get it painted soon, and find some decent wheels to throw on. I've been prowling the auto parts section of cl, but nothing yet lol

Quick question, how big of wheels can i fit without running into issues? I want something with a nice lip, and i was wondering if 15x8's will fit.

Also what are my options as far as an lsd rear goes?

Stateside, not much for a factory LSD option without getting creative, you will probably have to look to different makes and consider the idea of a axle swap if you really want a LSD.

I figured it would come down to an axle swap. Is there a car commonly used for this? Or as common as it gets haha.

15x8 0 offset fit, anything wider in the rear on a coupe/sedan and you get close to the shocks.

If you wanna run rubberbands you can do zero offset, otherwise gonna have to go more positive.
