Well, got some news. I gave the car away this morning.

My brother is looking for a project, and I am eyeballing the cost and time needed to finish the Corolla, and it is not something I can invest in right now.

Maybe someday things can be different, but for now, it's the best decision.

Thanks everyone for checking out the thread. Maybe there will be some updates once he starts on the project.

Well, as fate would have it... looks like the little guy did follow me home... again! My brother has decided it's too much for him, and I can't bare to see her go anywhere. So it's time to pack her away for a rainy day, and get to restoring what can be done, and when it can.

That is the best approach some times. I have had a car or 2 for extended periods of time with no work being done. I just figure if I own it, I can work on it when I feel lol. So, no issues with cleaning up and placing a cover over till you have desire again.

It's hard to explain the attraction to that little car to most people. They just don't get the same feeling I do when driving her. Takes me back to a simpler time, back in high school, when all we could afford to do was throw a few bucks worth of gas in the tank, and ride around for a couple hours. Hanging out, without a care in the world, just enjoying the freedom that having a car (or truck) could provide.
