So my girlfriend's daily is a light blue 95 Celica, which runs great but has seen better days aesthetically speaking. As you guys surely know; however, a simple drop and some wheels can really make a tired runner look like a million bucks.. My problem with her car is choosing a good-looking wheel that suits the Celica's body style.. Any ideas?

LOL; thanks for the post/thread. I could/should have written the exact same thing. Please, everyone, ideas???

I am thinking it needs to have a lot of spokes like Volk CE28Ns. But my GF's car is, somewhat ratty, and a set of Volks would cost more than the car (IMO) is worth...

I would go with these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-USED-15x7-5x100-5x114-3-5-100-5-114-3-Montegi-MR-2747-Wheels-Rims-/330865150497?hash=item4d09198a21&item=330865150497&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

or

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-4-17-Team-Dynamics-Cyclone-Alloy-Wheels-17x7-e38-5x100-73-1-/261160113523?hash=item3cce5b1573&item=261160113523&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

or GT-S wheels off a 7th gen.

What is the difference between 95 style to early 2000? Figured this was a newer car, so the options are wide open.

95 has the quad circular headlights, really round body panels, kind of a downsized, less-attractive supra shape.. the early 2000s cars were very angular and wedge-shaped with triangular headlights and a really low roof line..

LOL... "...kind of a downsized, less-attractive supra shape..."

Yeah, perfect description... :( it's this puffiness that makes it hard to choose the right wheel to match.

I meant on your statement of period correct and rims. I didn't think there was alot of differences between mid 90's to early 2000 rim styles.

Have you checked 6gc forums? Lots of builds there.
