ill try to keep this brief.

purchased 13x7 4x110 pilones(libres) for my rx2 sedan.

rx2 sedan uses lug bolts
pilones require shanked/mag lug nuts.
shanked lug nuts that i have are too wide and the flange interferes with the spokes of the wheels before the shank gets in the wheel.

hopefully this makes sense. im too young to know how this problem was solved in the 70s-80s.

A picture or two may help explain, if possible. Is the problem with the nuts not fitting or the difference between the lug nuts and lug bolts?

ill get some photos. the wheels are out getting tires on them.

i have multiple problems.

1. lug bolts are too short to thread to hub with the thicker wheel
2. i have shanked lug nuts but they are flanged and the flange interferes with the spokes on the wheel.

i want to thread in studs and use mag lug nuts. are there shanked/mag lug nuts that dont have a flange on them?

Normally, shanked lug nuts do not have a flange:

You then need to get appropriate washers to use with the lugs.

Sounds like you have a set of proprietary lugs; Appliance and Toyota OEM shanked lugs are not interchangeable with aftermarket lugs. Perhaps you have a set of one of those. Just go to your local wheel shop and get the appropriate length shanked lugs.

As for threading in studs, I don't know it that is exactly safe to do. Most studs are not rated for strength like bolts are. But, OTOH, if that is what you have to do, then there is not much choice...

I think they have the conical seats that can be used with your lug bolts.

Your two options are cone to flat washers, or long shank wheel bolts (seem to be exclusive to the Toyota Aygo/Puegeot/Citreon triplets in the right thread)
