Don't know if this counts but I spotted 3 S30's in Cars 2. Awesome cartoon btw.

When the scenes from Japan came up I watched the back ground trying to spot the different JDM cars, especially any J-tin. I spotted S30's in many of the scenes. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can stop the scenes and make out all the different cars in the back ground.

we did the same- saw Crown's, soarers, MX5's (early ones), a cedric and plaenty of Zeds, and that i know i missed heaps of them.

I was wondering if anyone would see "bridesmaids" with the AE85 in it - top movie by the way (so wrong, but so funny)

There was also an episode of Criminal intent or whatever it's called- with Greg outta Darma and Greg - and they had a 240z in the first few minutes....

Just saw Red Dog last night. It's an Australian movie set in the mid to late 70's in the far northwestern mining town of Dampier and spotted a shovel nose Corona hiding in the background in a fee scenes. Looked nice and clean compared to the other cars in the film.
I think there was an early Landcruiser in it to, the round fronted type but I'm not too sure.

I don't know if anyone can help,

years and years ago, in the UK, the BBC (back in the day when they just had 2 TV channels), showed a good film but I can't remember the name of it.

Details (from memory) are:
Set and filmed in the 60/70's, I think the 70's tbh.
American film about an american business man who was having an affair with his secretary, he was going to end it but she said she'd tell his wife. So on a business trip to Japan he decided to try and kill off the secretary. At the end of the film, they went to a Nissan test track as part of his work and was given a go in their new model. He took a four door Datsun/Nissan (i [want to] beleive it was a PGC10) around the test track and on each of his laps, he stopped for 20secs or so and pulled away again, on the final lap, he did the same but this time got out, fiddled in the engine bay and carried on. Then asked her if she wanted a go, she went off for a lap and in the distance, a crashing car noise was heard, that was the end of he film. (Hhmm, maybe it wasn't a C10, as the bonnet might have opened the more traditional way).

Any info or idea's about this would be great. Would like to track it down and have another look!

Many Thanks!

There's a beige/gold S30 in the title sequence for "Ted." Just caught that last night.

Watching "The Man With The Golden Gun" right now. In the chase scene near the end it's chock full of JNCs. Must be at least 30 Crowns in that scene.

And in the scene just before it James Bond is standing next to a white Subaru FF-1 sedan for 30 seconds. Beautiful car...

Do you know who any of the actors in it were?

Sorry, no pics..... but I just bought and watched Always: Sunset on Third Street 3
A new character, a doctor, drives a Toyota Publica. This is the third movie in the series, and each movie has an assortment of cars from that era which the movie covers.
The entire Always series is fun to watch. I'm not Japanese and I didn't grow up in Japan, but it is cool to see what life was like back then in Tokyo.
I recommend all three episodes if you're into Japanese culture, history and cars.

1.Always - Sunset on Third Street | Always san-chome no yuhi (2005) - takes place in 1958
2.Always: Sunset on Third Street 2 | Always zoku san-chome no yuhi (2007) - takes place in 1959
3.Always: Sunset on Third Street 3 | Always San-Chome no Yuhi '64 (2012) - takes place in 1964

AE86 GTS hatch in "Flight" (good movie, somewhat depressing)

Side note: The license plate, Georgia CNH 321, is one digit away from the General Lee's:

Why this is (or why I remember that, I haven't watched the Dukes of Hazzard in well over a decade), I have no idea.
