Hey guys I finally had few minutes to put up a few pics of my 1983 DR30 RSx. I bought it in early spring cleaned up a few things and have been enjoying it ever since. Unfortunately I can't find any other local nostalgic Jdm owners. Btw I do plan on changing the wheels but am really holding back on anything major because the car is in impeccable condition. Hope you enjoy!

While I have a few dr30 owners attention I was driving my dr this morning and just heard the squealers for the front brakes. What front pads will work for the stick brakes? Thanks!

i'm in japan brother :?

far as pads go, unless you're tracking her daily, just get a nice middle ground pad. i usually run endless or pmu.

I was wondering if there is a car that came to the USA that uses the same brake pads, I found that a 300z uses the same rear I believe. I dont want to ruin the rotors and then run into another problem. worse case scenario can you tell me where I can buy them, thanks!!

Well, it'll only cost you $15-20 to go pick up some 300ZX pads from your local parts store and see if they fit? :tu:

Hekc, if you go on http://www.rockauto.com you can order a set of 300ZX pads for $6 and some 280ZX pads for $5, see if one fits, then order some "good" pads for that application?

And if you get lucky, you might get a refrigerator magnet from them with your car on it. :P

Thanks guys, funny story the magnet that Rokauto sends is actually my car. I had that magnet on my toolbox from a previous parts order and about four months after purchasing my DR I actually was pointed out by a co-worker that is was my actual car. Small world.
On another note, I have s13 hubs with rotors and am in the process of buying a set of coilovers. what brake calipers do I have to run or can I just run the stock until I'm ready to upgrade. THX.

That's what I meant.

The previous owner had a build thread on your car on this forum a few years back. Came dangerously close to buying it myself when he decided to sell... :P

You and me both, pal. I bought a Mustang Cobra instead. 8) Glad to see this beauty stayed in the forum family...previous owner's handle was Cycletech.

EDIT: Yep, found it! viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5238

Wow guys thanks for that link. I just spent a good bit of an hour reading the whole thread. I really love the car and struggle with keeping it stock. I'm thinking nice wheels and suspension and call it a day for awhile.
