Hahah, the Dyno run sounds awesome, I imagine it would sound ridiculous in person.
I don't understand why you would take a 20BT out, for a V8..
Yes, it did sound awesome at the track. Used to watch Dave at the Ballarat 1/8th Mile drags.
Reliable big HP 20BT = Dollars cubed (heavy, power to weight - meh, intermediate plate no longer available, e shaft flex, e shaft factory lobe
machining/timing shyte, finding people who really know their shit about rotaries in regional areas is impossible)
Reliable V8TT = Every man and his dog could almost work on it and you can find most of the parts over the counter or at a wreckers - even
somewhere like Taswegia!
What you have to realise with a 20BT is, to do it right is going to cost MEGA bux - $15K and up. Leaving it stock will still cost between $6K-$8K.
Don't get me wrong, I still love and miss my 20BTT Cosmo. When I had a bad day, and my Cosmo would actually start, hearing the engine run
made the world a better place! Driving the car, the feel, the smell, the sound and watching people's reaction to it was a bonus!
