Happy New Year
I thought I would start a build thread and hopefully finish it too.
Bought this on Ebay a while ago, after a few other attempts of restoration on other cars I just couldn’t get the love from the cars I had bought. I finished my other car a while ago but never get to drive it. This will be for the road.
It seems to have been someone’s - 13b turbo, 9 inch, 10 sec drag car thing. The cage has been cut out before I got it. last reg 2002

It's got all SS trims and complete interior. Needs panel work

Great project, pretty soild base by the looks of it. Im jealous of Rx3 owners, its the one thats got away from me never had a chance to buy a reasonable project! Have you thought about painting it the original colour B5, gallac silver? I think its a beautiful colour, and still modern looking but I am somewhat biased! If your after something more in your face then a change would be good.

Good luck with it!

No I was being sarcastic. I am bad for that

It will be Mazda colour only. The Gallac silver is the first option, My first car (Rx3 Coupe) was Phoenix Blue AM second choice.

All original/stock inside and outside with the standard black interior. The engine will proberly be mild port 13 Rx4 block with 5 speed and standard LSD. Maybe a weber and some different wheels sometimes.

Car is at the blasters.

So digging through the parts. This came up good with some spit. Pity someone used something strong on the gauge clear lens.

Ontrack! I've seen your car before on the interwebs...might have even posted a picture of it on my blog. Do you have a build thread anywhere?

Not really.

It's a race car and I don't like the idea of showing the world what the car has on it or how it was built. I think it is just a racer mentality, look but don’t look too hard.

Nice colour Gallac Silver, not enough cars got left that colour IMHO.

You could always get some new plastic cut for the gauge faces.
