Purchased for $2300. Runs great, but I'm gonna try to fix it up a bit and possibly do an engine swap.

Here it is the day I got it!
(the blue Taurus in the background is the POS that I drive. 11 MPG - on a good day.)

Nice celi! What engine swaps are you considering.

And you should really fix the taurus......11 is way too bad lol.

I honestly have no idea which engine to put in, or what options I have. I'm not looking for anything that's overly powerful, but a more economical 6cyl engine.

Also, I'm getting rid of the Taurus. I bought this car to replace it :D
It's got way too many problems with it. The overall cost of repair would have been well over $5000.

The Celica's doing just fine! It only needs some minor fixes.
The guy I bought it from painted it himself, so that's why the body looks decent.
The inside's in okay shape. Original seats and upholstery!

It's funny, because I woke up today and the Taurus had a dead battery. Haha.

Well, the celi has alot of options, so just take care of what you know has an issue then worry about upgrades later. Better to start upgrading after you have driven her a bit and see what you want from her.
