Hi Uras. Cool pic nevertheless. Any more of the car you can post up? Maybe start a new thread and credit the link. I am sure many would be inspired by it.

About the parts, yeah i am constantly buying parts as i find them. Not easy around this area but they are available. Problem is that prices are so high. So many good deals that i missed because of the lack of vitamin M. Thats why i have been supposedly restoring the car for the past 3 years.

Nice pile of parts you are building up there!
I guess the fender cutout just looks ridiculously large because of it being bright white and there is a very small wheel on it with no lowering at all, ill be waiting for the finished product!

I understand why you cant show pictures of the wagon yet.

Hi Adzmax,
The magazine dimensions as promised. I think it is the same magazine article that swarf. posted about earlier in the thread.
Having said that, you still need the fender flares to be fit up and make sure you use the axle/wheel centre as your reference. This is of course provided the wheels/axle are correctly positioned in the first place. Severe damage or botched repairs can push it out of place. Tell tale sign is the wheel to the original fender gap.

Hi all. Nothing much. I am happy with the metalwork. Body is just being prepped with the fender flares, chrome trim and lights to see how it all fits together. Found a bonnet and am gong with it although it is heavily rusted. So welding is not really finished. The previous "hand made" bonnet was so heavy that I had trouble even opening it. The fenders need a little tweaking also.

Any opinions on the fender flares I put on? Please do take note that the car is not lowered and the wheels are 13". I do think they will look fine on fat 14s and with a bit of lowering. NOt sure how much yet.

Going in to paint next. Probably next week. Planning on going for the factory paint the car went with, 024 which I think is Fuji White or something. Many of my friends want me to paint it either gun metal, black or red. I am not too keen as the colour white is also a common colour for the GT-R which is the look I am aiming for. The underside, engine bay and interior is already white anyway. Any opinions?

I know opinions are like @$$holes. Everyone has one and they normally stink. I would still like to hear them. :D

Cars reflect their owners I'm told, so go with your gut! The flares look the goods mate

Keep up the good work

Flares look good mate, once you get some decent rubber under there and lower it, the car will look awesome.

Paint, the hardest part if you ask me. I've been trying to decide on silver or white for years but I'm 80% set on white.

Do you what you think looks good! :)

I just managed to drive the car. Even without the windshield or electricals working, i think the driving experience in this car is awesome.

White is the go.
Flares look the goods too.
I love the monochrome look.
Do a good tint on the windows, white body, black flares, chrome, gorgeous!

Next big decision will be the wheels
