Will DSMs ever be JNCs?

Let me start off by saying, I really do not like Chrysler at all... just horrible and atrocious designed cars. I especially do not like it when the mullet mopar guys try to say a Starion/Conquest is a Mopar. Sure Mitsu had their cars renamed to be able to sell more, but Chrysler had no say in any of the design/production process. That didn't happen until the DSM years... which really brought shame and a terrible reputation to Mitsubishi... a huge embarrassment. The DSM years caused most to believe a Starion is a DSM... and I cannot stand that either... lol.

Wait... what was the question...?? Got side tracked.

A true Triple Diamond Mafia member would try best to forget the black stain on Mitsubishi's history, which is the DSM years. Those years were the beginning of the end for Mitsubishi in North America. They're selling late late gen Galants based off a Dodge Charger platform now... barf!!

P.S. A majority of DSM lovers are in the rust belt...

Don't you dare use DSM and GVR4 in the same sentence together! We get that a lot off newbies on GalantVR4.org and always have to press it into their skulls that Galant VR4s are Pure bred Mitsubishis, not Four Door DSMs. :evil:

I don't have general problem with DSMs, plenty of friends have them and such, as well as I bought a buddy's so he could get his TE72 running lol. Then I turned around and sold it to another friend and it introduced him to the world of 4g63s :tu:

. Meh, he got a complete car that just needs the motor rebuilt and put back together for $200. I was really just after the stockpile of parts that I needed, I could care less about the DSM (I was actually going to scrap it).

My point is that they aren't true Pure Blood Mitsubishis that were imported to the states. Sure in the later years and today a lot of Japanese cars are built here in the states, however in the early 90s and earlier (JNCs) most cars were still being brought over from the land of the Rising Sun. DSMs were exported in small amounts to other parts of the world like Europe, the Middle East, and a few even made it to Japan, but they were imports over there, over here they fit better in the sport compact category.

Also Robert, the 2Gs are based off the Avengers, so in a way Chrysler did influence the design of the 2nd generation DSMs, thus why they share a good amount of parts. Dodge Daytonas look like knock off Starions, but fatter, ugly, and fwd lol.

I was referring to annoyance of a real Mitsubishi being called a DSM, which we both suffer from.

Yes, as the DSM embarrassment went on they shared platforms and parts with each other (2g, barf). But before platform/parts sharing, Chrysler was involved in the production process... a horrible horrible thing to imagine.
