I have always liked these. Before Lexus the ultimate Toyota. By the number plates in the picture you are in Qld Australia?

Good luck with the restoration.

I am indeed, I found it at manheim auctions of all places!

I need to straighten the front end and repair alot of the rust, I'm still on my P's for another 12 months so it gives me time to have it restored then start modifying a little!

Cheers for the comments guys,I've got a build thread for the sa22c/fb rx7 in the Mazda section.

I'm torn on which direction to head with it. I'd love to do a 80' hot rod theme, moon eyes theme with cargar wheels or, 80's VIP with 14" wire wheels.

At the moment, all the windows are pulled apart, fitting new bushes and just getting a new worm gear made for the front window.

how about neither of those. find some deep barrel jdm wheels no larger than 15" and lower it. curtains and other VIP treatment on the inside, otherwise stock exterior.

Or how about I build a car how I want it built?

I think I'll take my option.

Lol, good call mate :) If I was lucky enough to stumble across one, I'd give her the '80s VIP treatment..... Either way this thing is f'ing PIMP right now

Where did I mention anything about hydraulics and daytons? Maybe you have the complete wrong idea of what I was getting at.

it was a joke bro, i know you're not an LA resident. although with 14" wires (daytons) you'd only be missing the lowrider club plaque in the back window to fit in there.

what's up in the engine bay?

It's very messy, I assume the car has seen either alot of beach areas in its life or it's just due to the salt they use on the roads in japan but the engine bay is very corrosive, which adds up with the rust thats in it. I started giving it a clean but thinking I might pay someone to do it lol.

 I was under the impression fender mirrors weren't an option on '81+ cars in Japan. Either way, you don't want those mirrors gimme a ring!
